That's the common reply...but he was good early on. With Game Center/Center Ice, most of us watch enough hockey and enough teams where it's not just a matter of comparing AMac to Gervais because that's all we see.

It's not so much about having other players to compare but rather seeing one player do what others aren't during a game, thus making them stand out in a positive light. In other words, having Amac look steady comparably to his teammates may help him compare better to a player on another roster.

If Garth trades away a 1st rd pick(dal colle) it had better be for a top 4 defensman (or lead to such a deal) Kane is not what we need. I dont see Garth pulling a kind of "AP Physics" caliber sign & trade. As a GM, he still hasnt mastered using safety scissors and elmers glue.

Of course who knows what the last piece would be. Also gotta remember Kane isn't this superstar that scores 40 goals a year. He is young and could turn into a force but with his salary and reputation the return might not be as much as some might think. I doubt the isles are that heavily interested in him because of their hole on the back end but if they could get Kane without giving up Strome, Nelson, Lee, Pulock or Reinhart that would be huge
