Losing 2 top 6 players within a year is not good management,
no matter the reasons.
They should have just given him 6.5 and be done with it.
They might save a mil, but lose the impact player.

ROR doesnt deserve to get paid that money right now (however he will earn it eventually) but they cant lose him either. They screwed up this whole situation, both sides did.

ROR and his camp saw they opportunity in this situation and are taking full advantage of it (as a good agent should). Avs a him are both being stubborn and wont budge in their demands, its just a kick to the groin for the Fans to see a talented hockey player move on from thsi team for essentially being cheap. They have spent money finally again but to lose ROR as part as your core players over a 1.0m dollars is dumb when you consider they have a healthy scratch plug in Bordy being paid a 1.0m a season and press box Guenin at 800k.

Giving those guys extentions was dumb and now their "cap structure" is shot to give ROR what he needs to stay long term.

No he means that Roy lost Duchene and MacKinnon while they were shopping in the supermarket. Last he remembers they were in the pasta aisle but despite repeatedly making announcements on the PA system they still haven't found them.
