isn't PA more playmaker than finisher?
- Gary_B.

I was thinking just the same...

Personally I would try :

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Parenteau
Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Sekac
Bourque-Eller-Gallagher
Bournival/Prust-Malholtra-Weise

For 2 reasons, 1 Parenteau is a good passer and it will be a good combo with Paccio. 2 Eller and Gallagher did well before together and MOSTLY Gallagher will give energy to the not always willing Bourque...

trade him, this team has too many holes to give any player 15% of your cap
- hamiltonhabfan

could you imagine a team trading away ryan mcdonaugh and pk subban?

so the only guy that crashes the net is on the third line and the guy that never played in the NHL is on the second?

hum... the 3rd line in MTL plays the same minute than the other 2...

My point was that I saw Parenteau with Desharnais and Paccio and Gallagher with Eller...

For Sekac, for sure i'll give you that one, I'm not even sure he will make the team, I was just making the assumtion Eric is right

While I can see arguments for Subban asking for money to put him at 10mil a year. I don't think he can argue he's done as much as Kane or Toews, so you have to think he needs to accept a little less money than the two of them.

I personally think he should come in between 8 and 9.

Gainey offered Tomas Plekanec, Josh Gorges, PK Subban another player some believed it to be Carey Price to Tampa Bay for Vincent Lecavalier. Brian Lawton, TB GM at the time, wanted to see what else he can get and released that to the media, Gainey got upset and negotiated a trade with NY Rangers for Gomez.

Kane and Toews will never win the Norris, ever.

But seriously, Subban doesn't have Sharps, Toews, Kanes, Hossas, Keiths or Seabrookes on his team. Of course he has not won a Stanley cup or a conn smythe.

That can't be real....

If it is. Losing McDonagh for Gomez was actually a blessing in disguise

I'm not saying PK is an inferior player, just that he hasn't established himself to the level that they have yet, even if you don't take hardware into consideration. At least in my opinion.

lets say PK gets 10M and Eller gets 3M the habs will have 9M to sign Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Beaulieu, Tinordi, a 7th D-Man and a 4th line centre next summer

should be easy

ok so you trade him right? are you getting a #1 defenceman in return? no? ok. you've just opened a hole in your lineup bigger than any other hole that already existed.

so you trade PK to make sure you have enough room for a 7th dman and a 4th liner?
