REally ? I must've missed one of your tweets.
D-men with talent do get paid more.
Gorges sucks and stil lgets 3,9M a year.
overpayment of 500/750k - WaterBoy
Gorges was used as a top 2 defenseman and was a leader for block shots among the league. Craig Rivet used to suck. Gorges was kind of good, at least at what he does. |

Agreed. 3.5M for a guy who plays with different, lazy and inconsistent wingers every other game, then brings it in the playoffs... I am fine with 3.5M. Slight overpayment, but nowhere near what others are getting. - habman75
He sucks and he better bring it up a couple of gears.
3,5 is a minor risk.
He asn't played one game yet out of that 4 year contract... maybe fans should chill the (frank) out before claiming this as one of the worst contracts ever |

Georges had no place being a top two defenceman in this league. |

It was funny when ASP said it a couple of minutes after the signing..
Now it's just plain pathetic.

Thanks for prooving my point that Eller's contract compared to other players around the league ain't that bad of a contract.
I used Gorges as an example (and Emelin) because they signed their contracts with MB
Try to follow now. - WaterBoy
Montreal Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier announced today the signing of defenseman Josh Gorges to a six-year contract extension (2012-13 to 2017-18). As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. On January 1, 2012 Gorges agreed to re-sign with the Canadiens with a six-year, $3.9 million per year contract. |
