No way Beaulieu eats 20 mins + per game. It will look like this:

Markov-Subban
Emelin-Gilbert
Weaver-Beaulieu Tinordi

Or switch Emelin and Markov.

i don't think you'll see Markov and Subban together.
i would like to see Markov and Beaulieu together. young kid with the crafty veteran whose lost a step. maybe a veteran like Gilbert with Subban to start, even though they both shoot right. i don't like the idea of Emelin in the top 4, not after what we saw from him last year.

I don't think so...they already have 4 guys fighting for 1 spot, why bring a 5th one ? Plus MDZ is as much a gamble as the others...

I can't see Beaulieu playing top 4 minutes in the first half of the season. They didn't bring him back after the Olympics because he had attitude issues with a lack of efforts. So i don't see them landing him a top4 spot on a silver plate; he will need to earn it first.

You never know, a Gilbert - Emelin pairing could do good. And Weaver with Tinordi/Beaulieu doesn't look that bad on paper.

agree that he has to earn it in preseason but my bigger concern is, when he makes the inevitable mistakes that lead to goals and maybe even cause a loss, does that put him back at square one with MT? i hope they don't get into a situation where we see Mike Weaver playing 22 minutes per night.
