Tabarnak, what a weird timing for kidding about canadian animals.
Just heard my cousin (same age) just died after hitting a moose.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen him in many, many years and wasn't close. But he was a always-smiling super nice guy. I remember him for helping me dealing with my parents' divorce, when I moved to another school+city+region. He dealt with all the bullies to help me integrate.

Cheers, Yohann.

8 years, 62 million (7.75 per).

Subban could really screw the team with a huge contract this time. I wouldn't wanna be Bergevin after lowballing PK last time.

6per for 3.

Arbitration would likely get him 5per for 2.

Then trade him, if he's so great maybe someone would over pay.

*runs in intermittent zig-zag pattern*

Also, he ain't worth more than 6per for any term.

I staying with my original estimate that he gets just over 9 million. I know its a lot but with recent signings and you can only go 8 years I think he will pull in big. I'm also factoring in that he did take a low bridge deal .He has Norris Trophy, consistent all star, top 5 d man in the league and significant piece of the habs. Just my opinion I could be way off though. He's going to arbitration correct?

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, if he gets 9per over 8, they're screwed for years to come.

I don't think they will be screwed, yes huge cap hit but he's an elite player and they get paid the big bucks. I could be way off as well but that's what I think taking into account other elite guys and the factoring in the bridge contract that he got well under what he was worth. The salary cap will most likely rise as the years go by and he will most likely keep getting better. Most other elite d man got signed to long term before the CBA and that's why their cap hit is lower.

As good as Subban is, I think it's ridiculous to have him earning more than Weber and Doughty.

Weber will make 14 mill this year, Doughty will make only half of that at 7 mill..

no, they're screwed for years if they have to trade him. every team signs star players to inflated deals. why is that Montreal is the only team that can't afford to do that? a team that cannot figure out a way to lock up its 25 year old stud defecenceman will never win a thing in this league.

all we care about is the hit, not the annual salary. the hit affects us. the money doesn't.
