Not on paper certainly. The expectation is that Smith and Soderberg improve and Erikkson puts his injury riddled season behind him and scores 20.

Who is Sekac and why is he potentially a second liner?

i'm willing to bet Spooner does not make this team.

Parenteau would be useless next to Lars Eller.

Absolutely useless.

i don't know where he will play TBH. our situation down the middle is absolutely terrible. you've got a second line centre that plays brutal minutes, a third line centre that can't product poop and a miscast first-line centre. so where does he play? makes no sense to play him with Plekanec in a defensive role. he'll do nothing with Eller, obviously. only real fit is with DD/Pacioretty, which puts him on his off wing. basically, the fact that Lars Eller kind of sucks really throws everything into chaos.

I honestly thought one of the 3 (DD, Plekanec, Eller) would be traded this summer.

Still plenty of time, but it looks less and less likely.

that's unfortunate. it was comforting knowing they worked for the Leafs. listening to those 2 guys in the media was genuinely frightening.

Same. Read too many articles stating that him being able to acclimate himself to a wing is a stretch and his game is using speed through the middle. Nice option to have as an injury center. Still wouldn't be surprised if the Bruins took a flier on a guy like Mueller for that third line.

there's just no flexibility there. DD is useless if he's not in that role. Plekanec is the only one who can handle the top D assignments, and Eller doesn't excel at any particular aspect of the game. to me, the upgrade needs to be at Eller's spot. 26 points in his role was utterly ridiculous.

I think they were really looking for wingers.

Richards is a great fit for the Hawks.

Well at least he can hardly ask for more than DD's 3.25M.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he asked for Bickell's type of money. In this case, trade his ass away.

I thought PA was a RW? So he should be a fit next to Patches/DD

Malhotra will take some of the D-responsabilities from Plek.

Eller's the big question mark here.

I'd say PA starts the season with DD-PAtches just like Briere did last season and will be moved IF it doesn't work.

Gally might end up on the Plek line cuz he can provide offense while being "Decent" defensively.. or at least, decent with his backchecking.

Yeah, he needs to play with a playmaker. No idea why people want him to play with Eller.
