He would be on our cap for 4 years if we bought him out now
He can be traded |

So trade subban in order to sign depth players with little to no serious talent?
Is that what we're getting at today?
*dies* - Pecafan Fan
yes, yes. you can never have enough depth and character. |

yeah i think the difference in cap hit between putting him in the minors and a buyout isn't that significant. |

this is the point. you have salary problems, you shave from the bottom, not the top. it's a lot easier to find 2-3 bottom roster players than it is to find PK Subban. - DoubleDown
No, it's quite easy to find Subban...he sticks out a bit. |

If I'd have to pick between paying a forward or a defenseman $10M, there's no doubt in my mind that money should go to a forward. Especially if the defenseman in question had 10 more points than Matt (frank)ing Niskanen.
10M for Subban, are you kidding me with this poop.
Flip him to EDM for Hall and finally plug that hole on the wing for (frank)s sake, we have nothing coming up in the forward prospect pool. |

I'll take Hall's production at 22 years old at a cap hit that isn't Gomezesque like Subban's going to get. |

Don't think Beaulieu could do worse than Subban offensively, playing every single PP for the whole 2 minutes? 10 goals. $10M
Talk about a (frank)ing anchor. What's the upside? His amazing ability on the PK?
His ability to do awesome interviews? Killer smile you can see in the dark? Amazeballs weather forecasts in ridiculous suits?
Or is it the really awesome spin-o-ramas? Or the way he smashes a guy's teeth in with his elbow when he tries his moonwalk jump backside hit that gets him a 2 min in the box every time?
He's getting really good at faking high sticks to the grill tho, that poop earns you at least 3M more a year than Doughty. |

BRAVO BRAVO TO BERGEVIN FOR OBVIOUSLY NOT HAVING HIS PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.
HE NEGLECTS PK SUBBAN'S CONTRACT AND INSTEAD GIVES A 3YEAR CONTRACT TO AN UNPROVEN ROOKIE.
