6'3 230 lbs and 113 career fights... 243 career points. When you almost have as many fights as points... yea I'd argue you are pretty goonish.

I wouldn't call him a "goon" as 243 points for a defenseman is good. But an enforcer, yes.

I will always love him for this one:

Was that their first go? I remember before the next game between the Flyers and Devils, Dornhoefer was interviewing Stevens and he asked if Stevens would be looking for another fight.

"Nah, he proved himself to me last game."

No, but I would probably disagree with you, get back to me in 5 years and maybe I would agree. But for now, save your toes.

I suppose. Not saying your wrong but he wasn't overly talented. I'm petty sure he was a top pair guy for them at the time too wearing then assistant captain "A" but I could be wrong. Montreal also wasn't very good at that time either.

Yes, it was. They had a weekend home-and-home, and that was the end of the second game. Stevens low bridged him a few times, and then Lindros went back at him and missed him low. It all culminated in this.

Edit: My favorite Lindros fight comment came from Lee Norwood, his (Eric's) first NHL fight. When asked what it was like, Norwood said, "It was like fighting a bear."

243 points in over 1000 games.

The point is that he wasnt just picking on guys. Lindros fought tough customers routinely.

I still think he is arguably the best player in the game right now. So Ill give you that.

Most definitely, I can tell you one thing. Lindros was never 2nd best on his own team at any point. Crosby gets showed up by Malkin sometimes. Including the Pens cup year.

Oh yeah, I'm betting the fans in Ottawa still rue that one.

Worst moves of the past decade?

- keeping Redden over Chara
- Gomez for McDonagh
- Bryz

He is also playing in a time where scoring is hard to do..

I could only imagine Crosby in the 80's

Crosby is a hell of a scorer. No doubt. But what else does he got??? He also choked in the playoffs 2 years in a row. The big stage

Bryz turned out to be pretty bad. And even though at the time I felt Bob was mishandled and should have been given the chance to be the guy, except for the term and amount, I thought Bryz was a pretty good goalie when he was signed.

Rask for Raycoft, in order to keep Pogge

Bryz was a train wreck. A lot of people like to blame the defense. But look at Mason with the same defense.

List of Lindros opponents (I've bolded what I'd call legit "tough guys"):
Norwood
Beukeboom (no fighting major)
Stevens
Zmolek
Zettler
Reekie
Desjardins
K. Jonsson
Odelein
Zhmelik
Quintal
McSorelyp/b]
Sweeney
Boughner
Barnaby
Ulanov
Pilon
Pilon
Chynoweth
Boughner
T. Gill
R. Niedermayer
Odkick (no fighting major)
S. Webb
Taylor
M. Wilson
Hulse
D. Hatcher
Harvey
Karpotsev
T. Simpson
Whitfield
A. Berg
Wright
Thornton
Doig
Hinote
Jackman

That's 26 fights. 11 guys I'd call tough guys (you could argue Barnaby and Ulanov, but they were pests). I'm done with this, but just wanted to put it out there.
