No surprises here... Flyers scored most of their goals off the rush:

The Flyers scored 134 goals in other ways than off the rush, and 50 off the rush. So to characterize off the rush goals as how they scored "most" of their goals is inaccurate and misleading. They scored 27% of their 5 on 5 goals off the rush. It would be interesting to compare the 10 categories with other teams and see how the teams that score more 5 on 5 distribute the goals across the categories.

He probably meant "scored the most goals off the rush."

But I must agree. I was misled by Tomahawk's wording, and I feeling hurt, confused, and not sure what's right or wrong anymore.

I demand an apology.

I'm guessing bruins or rangers which would be much worse than him just signing with the hawks

Is he guaranteed a top 6 role with either of those teams. Or better stated, can they guarantee him a chance to gain a top six role?

Agreed, which IMHO is more reason the Flyers need to kick the tires on this kid. I don't see him signing in Philly but you gotta kick the tires.

Kid has a chance to be a stud. Hope the Flyers land him.

I see the Rags signed Stempniak.... he was signed for less than the Flyers gave N. Schultz....

the Flyers can offer Hayes something the Bruins and Rangers can't, though. Possible top 6 time in short order. maybe not immediately, but sooner than the others.

He's a RW, but if he could convert to left...

well, lets be honest. Umberger, Raffl, Rinaldo, Rosehill, and a mysterious Frenchman named Bellemare. The kid would at least have a shot at some serious LW ice time.

Rangers might be out. They're at the contract limit after signing Stempniak. They could always move someone, but their blogger seems to think they were an outside option anyway.

I think the rangers can offer him a chance to compete for a top 6 spot which is what the flyers would be offering as well. Bruins are his hometown team.

Most rumors seem to think it's the rangers or bruins

No. What teams could or would do that?

I think he has other contributing factors that we aren't aware of. Otherwise he will sign with NJ or Fld or CAR, etc...

If my mechanic kicked my tires, I'd likely drive my car up the road to someone more knowledgeable.

I didn't know that. I think the rangers would be fine dealing brassard if Hayes was willing to commit to them
