Absolutely! They're both going to be very good imo. - whipper334
Funny how things turned out for the Oilers. I wonder if we had the chance to draft Monohhan last year and did if we would have been more inclined to move for Ekblad? |

I would say for sure. Plus the fact I would hate the Oilers even more... |

He was more than likely our 1st pick had he been available. - Jeropotato
No doubt. Calgary was just lucky I guess it was a deep draft. You guys did very well with Nurse as well though. |

And no you wouldn't. You wouldn't give a fck about Monohhan if he were never a Flame.....unless, of course, you wasted that pick on Bo horvat - Jeropotato

Hope so. No doubt he will be a fine NHL D man...we just need him to be a far cry better than just "fine".
No pressure, Darnell. |

Lol! I was a little suprised the Carolina left Monahan and took Lindholm...
I guess they had the two Staals but still. |

I'm not sure how that will play in , TBH. It's sorta fun to look at the past drafts, year after year and rank the best players years later...I think the 2013 draft will be all over the board. |

I think Arco starts there for this season, but I could
see Leon playing there if it isn't working out with Arco. |

No but we replaced him with a bigger winger. Besides I think Arco can take over gags spot anyways. I think he can put up 40 points and be good defensively at 2C. Just my opinion. Think the guy will surprise a bit - OilerFan16
This would already be better than Gagner |

Plus...there still might be something major about to happen in San Jose, Chicago and/or Philly that makes another player expendable.
For example, lets just say, for arguemets sake that Thornton gets moved to Montreal for futures....does Plekanec become available? Possibly. Or maybe Mac T is working on something big himself.
Just pissing in the wind here....but what if Thornton were to become available to Edmonton? Would Yak and Klefbom be a good gamble? Pretty nice young package of potential to the Sharks, and probably wouldn't hurt us too bad either in the long and short of it all.Of course, we will need to be restock the prospect pool fairly quickly. - Jeropotato
Back when Boston was my favourite team, Thornton was my favourite player if we could get him it'd be totally awesome

He was traded from Boston 9 years ago (I think that's right ) So does that mean you were a Bruins fans when you were 7? Not sure how old you actually are though. - Horseguts
think he's 15 so he was probably 6 or 7 at the time.

Even if that is true,
Thats what pisses me off. We were the worst team in the West. Staying the same as last year is unacceptable in all positions of the game.

Same here. Was only 9 when we won the first cup, but I remember that being all the family outings. My pops idea of having fun when we were kids was hosting or visiting his buddy's and watching hockey while we (frank)ed around in the back ground. Can't say I remember watching all that intently tho. |

I started liking Edmonton when I was 9. I liked boston until I was 4, then I started team jumping (fml). I just figured why not like the team I was born in? So ya I made that realization when I was 9... liked em ever since. |
