Whose deal came first? Or were they the same time? The good thing then was Eberle was probably the better player at that time or very close. I still remember other teams fans laughing at 6 million. Hell bolland is almost a 6 mil player now.

They were essentially same time. Eberle got freakin lucky with that 34 goal season of his. Without that I could have seen him being offered closer to 5 long term.

If the guy is good for 25 goals every year, and pops 30 once in a while he'll be worth it.

But, a lot of good points have been made about him only playing well with Hall, I've only seen him throw 3 hits in 3 years, but he is better on the backcheck than ppl give him credit for.

Wait another year or two to see who's making 6m players and he may seem like a bargain. Hall at 6 for another 7 years is almost funny when you look at his contribution to the team compared to what some guys who will make 6m will do in a few years.

Good signings... Hall's is better value and term (Ceteris paribus)

I'm not buying that one bit. To some degree you can yes, I would agree. But for the most part hockey sense comes down to a poop load of split second decisions. In the end I believe your reaction is just natural, part of who you are. No amount of teaching can get you to the top.
