The off season sucks. They should have a hockey league that plays in the summer to keep us occupied. Rookie camp was cool but I am really getting stir crazy.

I would go hang out at the beach (I am 10 min from Seaside) but the bennies are all over it with their stupid haircuts and spray tans. 'Come at me bro'. The cup was down there the other day and I missed it.

To be fair, Lou's track record in free agency is pretty bad since the 04-05 lockout. Malakhov, Mogilny, Rolston, Volchenkov, probably Clowe in a few years.

Todd or anyone, were you also pleasantly surprised with Joey Dudek during the scrimmage? He had some creative plays. I know it's only Rookie Camp, but he definitely got my attention. Hopefully he can develop. Had really good vision out there.

Oh wow, I saw his birth year. I now know two things. I am old, and he will not be up for a while. He committed to BC, so he should have time to develop. He also said this, which every devils fan will like,

"I'd describe my game as I like to make the players around me better. I'm a real team player. I have a lot of poise in the offensive zone but I do like to play two ways. I like to play in the defensive zone as much as I like to play in the offensive zone."

Sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders, and sounds like a typical Lou draft pick player.

He played a couple of games, but wasn't ready. He could be a 2nd or 3rd line winger if he develops. He will grow, get stronger, and be better along the boards (which will be his game). He will be a low cycle player, not really east to west, but north and south player. He will play another year in the A, and hopefully play for a spot next year.

EDIT: He played 17 games, which were 13 games too many. I can see 4-5 games, to get a look, get him some experience, but rushed him in the end.
