Anyone see this leaked gameplay footage of NHL 15? I'm seriously going to drop $400 on a PS4 just for this game.

Who are you sitting to get him into the lineup?
- BiggE

The injured or worst performing D-man on the team I would assume.

BSchenn G Voracek
Read Vinny Simmer
Akeson Coots Umberger
Rinaldo Laughton Rosie/Raffl

Kimmo Coburn
Macdonald LSchenn
Grossmann Streit
Shultz/one of the kids

Mason
Emery

I think Reads defense and speed would really compliment that 2nd line and help out Vinny tremendously. Lets face it, VL is only effective at center, and he will be on the Flyers roster at the start of the season. Playing Vinny as 4C is silly.

I think that's a good first line. I prefer a different look on the other three though.

Schenn Giroux Voracek
Read Coots Simmonds
Raffl Vinny Umberger
Rinaldo Laughton Bellemare

I think you can also switch Voracek and Simmonds.

I see your point. Just dont see Chief splitting up G and Voracek. Schenn is the most versatile option to slot at LW. Umberger aint top 6 material
- acd513

Schenn has never really excelled at LW. I don't understand why people seem to think he can play well there simply because he's played LW at certain times.

I think the Kings gave up the same thing for Gaborik as we did for AMac ( I believe 2nd and 3rd).
- 3flyerkids

For the same price they got a prime contributor to a Cup win AND got said player to take a 35% pay-cut... Lombardi

Stevie Y did not overpay for Stralman...
- 3flyerkids

Seriously, 12-mos ago, if somebody told you that Anton Stralman would end up in the same tax bracket as Niklas Kronwall and Dan Hamhuis, you'd probably have probably laughed them out of existence.

Not a bad player... but way overpaid.

Problem is that with Vinny if it isn't playing Center it's a waste. Having him on the 4th, although he didn't play too bad there, isn't the answer given what they are paying him. So where does that leave him?

I could see both sides to the arguement of keeping him/trading him, but when you have no idea how to best use him, I think they might as well see what they can get for him at this point.

To me if he isn't your 2nd line Center, he is just rotting away on the roster. Just my 2 cents.

Over taking minutes and opportunity away from the kids... I'd let him rot.

there are a lot of wings playing at the opposite side, but i'm not really sure how you can avoid it

go to capgeek and armchair the team (don't forget to LTIR Pronger)

you almost have to have guys switch sides.

We are wasting Giroux without a scorer/finisher. G should pull the trigger more, but he is a true set up man and requires someone with vision to bury his tricky feeds. I hate to say it because I know that Schenn is better at center than anything, but I think he gets a shot.

Also, let's remember Umberger has played center. He's incredibly slow, but he knows the position. With this rag tag bunch, he may get the 3rd slot even though he's borderline 4th line material. Seriously. BORDERLINE.

Schenn (*sigh*) - Giroux - Voracek
Read - Coots - Simmonds
Bellemare - Umberger - Raffl
Rinaldo (ew.) - Vinny - Akeson

Read is a RW, but who else are you gonna slot with Couturier and Simmonds?

I suppose if you wanna give the kid a whirl, you could bump up Vinny to the third line, move Umberger into Rinaldo's spot, and try Laughton as a 4th line center. Your PIMs would actually drop significantly with both Hartnell and Rinaldo officially out of the line up.

That would look like...

Schenn - Giroux - Voracek
Read - Coots - Simmonds
Bellemare - Vinny - Raffl
Umberger - Laughton - Akeson

I hope Hextall builds HIS team. Not what Snider wants. Even if we have to suffer for a little bit. I want less PIMs and smarter hockey.

I just want to make sure Laughton is ready and I thought the AHL could do him some good. As much as I'd also LOVE to see Ghost get some time with a pro like Kimmo, I think he's gotta mature with the Phantoms, too.

Couturier naturally has more talent than Laughton, and we saw what happened to him by bringing him up too soon. He's extremely valuable as a lock-down defensive forward, but I think it's obvious to most of us that bringing him up too soon stifled his offensive capabilities.

Indeed. So many of us are desperate to find that scorer that everyone else forgot about. Well, they didn't forget about him. He just wasn't all that good.

I think so many of us expected like 25-30 goals outta Vinny and maybe 55-60 total points for two or three years before he became a burden. Unfortunately, it didn't take that long.

But hey, he still has some use. In the end he potted 20. He can win face offs. He's an established vet.

I would like to see Rinaldo traded, yesterday. Regressed, undisciplined, small (even if he doesn't play that way), targeted by refs. Needs to go IMHO.

0.82 ppg as a forward gets you into the HHOF now?

Phil Housley has a 0.82 ppg (1200+ points) as a dman and can't get a sniff.

B. Schenn has pretty much played LW only with Briere and Vinny during his career. I don't think anyone can come to a conclusion that he can't make the transition to LW. Both centermen were past their prime and more scorers then set-up men like G would be if B. Schenn played on the first line.

Brad Richards makes it to the HHOF before Vinny.
