I think Reimer got the poop end of the stick. He at least deserved a legitimate shot to retain the No. 1 position and I don't think Carlyle gave him a fair chance. Didn't help that the defence left Reimer out to dry in the playoffs and all last year.

but i agree totally, leafs played like poop defensively infront of him, and carlyle (almost as bad as ron wilson, almost) did nothing, gave him no confidence at all, even when we did make the playoffs all you heard at deadline was how randy wanted nonis to find another goalie to help him out...yeah, randy has to go...to hell.

Reimer at his worst is still far and away a better goalie than Raycroft. A .911 spct from your backup goalie isn't a bad thing at all.
