What? That makes no sense. What does that have to do with it? How much did legit starter miller play during the lockout? Less than 41? I guess he was a backup that year?

Of course it's not fair to judge a player becuase he didn't play more than the games that were played. Look at what you are saying and see it it makes any sense at all.

sure it does. anything past 37 games is a gamble because james reimer has never experienced it, like the champion rounds in fighting. till he gets there we have no idea what he is. at the moment he is a good backup.

Why? The leafs don't have a backup. Trading him without replacing him would be bad.

No NHL goalie was a starter during the lockout year!

you don't seem to get it, reimer has NEVER been. there has only been one lockout during his career. There has been at least two seasons where he had ample opportunity to play 50-60. but he didn't

ts also on par with saying Kadri had a great lockout so he should be considered a number 1 center.

No, you dont get it. If Reimer wasn't a starter during the lockout then all goalies were backup, no starters at all.

What years did he have ample opportunity? The year previous to the lockout he was the starter but was injured and missed 3months.

Who? None that have played remotely close to him over the last couple years?

There was a two year span he played about 70% of the games he was healthy for. And over that span he had great stats. There really isn't a way to argue that over that span he wasn't starting for the Leafs, and playing like a starter. Yes, it wasn't an extended span, but I still can't see how you can claim he wasn't a starter over that span. What exactly are you using to define a starter?

The Leafs need a backup. They can't just trade him.

There really is nobody as good as him available.
