And you know this why? Franson definitely has value. He's better than some of the crap D-men that teams lined-up for July 1st.

MLHS has article with pretty solid argument that Franson will get 3.6-3.7, and because the walk-away amount has not been decided this year as it's tied to revenue/cap, it might be as high as 3.9 or 4M, which means Franson's a Leaf for another year.

He can be traded before/after/during arbitration, but I don't know if anyone would want to take a flyer on him for a year. Maybe, who knows. Would love to get a 2nd rounder for him if we could.

One holdout is understandable. Get as much as you can. But two? Now that's just greedy.and his season went so well the last time he held out through training camp and pre season didn't it. SMH.

He underrated by us leaf fans. He can hit,shoot, pass but he really struggles with foot speed and positioning.
