Gardiner shouldn't be an issue to sign. Franson and Reimer should dodge arbitration just for the sake of their confidence. You listen to former players who went through arb and they say the team just shreds the player.

He can get worse if RC limits his mins after a few bad games
RC was giving him less than 10 mpg last season for a stretch of games
He needs to play minimum 15 mins

- MTL1

Oh definitely! How can you expect a guy to rebound from a bad season if you have 0 confidence is his game.

I hope they try Frattin with Kadri and Lupul again. It may be a stretch but I think getting linked up with some familiar faces, those of which he had some success playing with, should be good for him.

Didn't that line play together for like, 5 games?

lots of little guys with speed light up the AHL but do nothing in NHL. PArticularily after the grind starts to wear on them. Cory Conacher's a good example.

Abbot's a small skill player, not much use in the bottom six, and he isn't good enough for 2nd line... ATM anyway.

If they are thinking about putting frattin on the second line, Abbott could play there

Frattin went from fringe NHLer to a top 6 player with that trade...If he's on the 2nd line the Leafs are officially in the McDavid race...

Depends on who "they" is I suppose.

I don't believe the "they" who have any say at all are thinking about it...

but the "they" here who keep saying put him on 2nd line... ya flip a coin.

quotes I saw, Sutter and company were teaching him how to play defense... so, there's that. Obviously coming from a LEafs forward group where such things weren't discussed... and he was considered decent 2-way for the Leafs

Six Mile Lake is not too big of a park but has some nice scenic canoe trips nearby.
- LeafMan

if you want to drive about 1/2 hour - 45min... head just north of "the sound"... and head for Carling Bay...

deep bay , inlet like directly off the sound... deep calm water, good for canoeing - and excellent fishing....

I remember the old 69, so much better now that is was expanded.
- LeafMan

old 69 wasn't for the faint of heart... but if you had balls... you could make it to Richmond Hill (and I mean the town not the 400 turnoff at Major Mac) in about 2 hours 15 minutes....

'cause there was never cops on 69 other than within a couple of kms of Parry Sound or around Honey Harbour.

those were the days... pick up beer (in quantity) in Barrie .. and make the run.
