Ohlund, Salo, Garrison... #1 d in the league if you added Phaneuf!
- 1970vintage

Hedman, Garrison, Carle, Stralman, Brewer, Gudas isn't too bad, especially with what they have up front and if Bishop continues to play like a top 10 goalie.

Hope the Ducati is ok?

This is the 'circle of life' day on HB. Some folks sharing stories of their loses and others the joy & fear of adding to the family.

I hope everyone on here stays good to themselves and their loved ones. There's a lot of fun, hilarious, opinionated , smart & sarcastic folks in here who share a common passion.

Man the sunstroke really has done a number on you.

Time to start prepping dinner for Mrs. Marwood and chill the Gerwurztraminer.

Why would go and have to make sense of my troll post. You know MS visits these pages often.

There are currently 42 cap hits in the league over 6 million, with more on the way. Just saying, Phaneuf's deal isn't as bad as so many people make it out to be.

I'm alright. Must be lingering affects of the heat stroke.

There was some pretty awful stuff going around the world right now and stories of life and loss on here. I thought it was a good time to say that I really enjoy & appreciate all of the different personalities on here and the time we share.

I promise to go back to flying off the handle, stoner curmudgeon, tomorrow.

It's always interesting to read people's viewpoints, perspectives, as well as just to chat about hockey in general (as well as occasionally delving into other non-hockey topics).

I think it would be kind of fun to have a get-together prior to the start of the season, with some of the regulars on here as well as anyone who might be interested. Maybe meet up at a sports-bar etc and catch a Canucks game/chat/banter/get lap dances/hockey-karaoke etc

I know people obviously hold their privacy as a very important and prefer the anonymity aspect. But for those that feel comfortable, I think it would be kind of cool to arrange something prior to the season's start (that is, of course, if there is interest in doing so). Just a thought, is all

Either way, it's an interesting little community, I must say. Never a dull moment, that's for sure!

Edit: a great option would be to have a Fillipina hotty-themed night at Vantels , or maybe a Kesler-themed costume party at Nucker's palatial abode high up in the West Vancouver British Properties section (bring your swim-suits - he's got a huge-ass pool in the shape of a hockey-stick and a jacuzzi that fits 52 people

He'll be 36 at the end of the deal, not 40. Also, at the end of the term there will likely be 100 players in the league making 7 million a year.

Agree and like you said with some recent contracts it's starting to look less and less like a burden.

It's funny because you used brownies as a measurement of time.
