Wrong again, like if it was possible. - fidopro
90% of Alberta is dull. The other 10% is breathtaking. I live in red deer and traveled everywhere in this province at least 2 times. Most of Alberta is pump jacks and drilling rigs.. Not exactly a billionaires paradise. |

True but if you were an Albertan Billionaire you would have a Condo in Calgary and a sweet pad in Canmore or Banff..... |

If I had a choice, I'd prefer BC or AB over ON. But after Fla and Calif. |

Of course, being a millionaire, I would select Red Deer over Banff. That's a given. |

Mostly young people who are pissed at their parents and like the mountains. Nothin Wrong with living out here if this is your thing. I like going to different places in Alberta and I think people should come out and see what it's like. Same for people in alberta should go see the East. But I meet a poopload of Albertans who have never seen anything else so they tend to lack perspective and have this hate for Ontario for no reason. Northern and Eastern Ontario is a great place to live. |

I like a lot if things about Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimers. But none of them offer the best all round living that the west does IMO. |

My inlaws live in BC, visit there quite a bit and love it just like a couple hours out of Toronto, absolute beautiful landscapes and scenery but some people are so misguided in their hate for Toronto that they think the whole province is like it.
But this thread is not for city, province or country bashing, it is for a hockey discussion. |

4 hours away from Tbay and plenty of Big money with summer homes on the Lakes. |

There is nobody in Ontario guilty of the same thing?
I've been to Ontario a couple times....buddy lives in Simcoe County and those farms are beautiful, nice trees, green grass, Brick Houses (not many of them in AB)...Cottage Country is really nice as well.
The City of Toronto is a dump however, and dead if your staying downtown and want some night life. Nothing but homeless people and foot long hot dog vendors. |

Maybe a place in the foothills sure.. It mostly depends on where you grew up and what you prefer. There's more wealthy people in Muskoka (in the summer) than anywhere in AB. It's just a different culture out here. People are all cut front the same cloth and tend not to focus too much on family life. I rarely meet any young albertan guys in the patch, it's all easterners, mostly Ontarians. |

Most Alberta guys that work with their hands are in construction as opposed to the patch. Plenty of good trade work in Edmonton and Calgary if your willing to apprentice....nice to see your wife and kids every night too. |
