Since when is Nyquist a center in the NHL? Make Johansson Backström and we have a deal. We can throw in Quincey to make the cap sitch work.

No way the Wings trade Nyquist for Green, that would be highway robbery. Green is black and blue and has seen better days. Nyquil 500mg is on the rise.

Detroit needs to keep their talent yes they are young . I'd like to see Detroit fully commit to their youth movment, so there might be some pain and god forbid the wings playoff streak end. Personally I think so be it. Theyll be a better team for it

Interesting but also old. What the Wings defensemen often do also is make contact with the forechecker before they get into the corner to battle for the puck or they just let the forechecker go in first and then pin him on the boards. That way they also take less punishment. Defensemen also have to be good at slipping/avoiding the hits. Lidstrom was great at this and Kronwall is usually pretty good too at jumping out of the way right after they moved the puck. Another thing that can help the defense is a goalie that is good at playing the puck. Howard and Monster both suck at it so the Wings players often pay for their lack of puck handling skills while Mrazek is much better and made for much smoother transitions from d-zone to o-zone because of it and allowing the defense to move the puck without being hit because he wasn't just shooting it around the boards and making the Wings players chase it.
