I would go as high as $1.5M, but I'd want a draft pick coming back. At least a 3rd, but I'd fight really hard for a 2nd - PhillySportsGuy
Agreed. I'd always angle for a pick in return in any trade. Even if it's a 5th or 6th rounder. |

I still think the Flyers should have fought harder to get a pick in the JVR for Schenn deal. The Leafs should have had to throw in a 2nd at the very least. |

It's not an ideal situation, but given his limitations, you have to think outside the box a little.
If he's going to be an albatross, I want it to be on a lesser line, where he's not dragging down dynamic players like Giroux & Voracek. Despite seeing more 50% O-Zone starts in each of the last four years, his possession stats are mediocre to awful.
- Jsaquella
There needs to be some context here. As Corsi is really a team statistic, if we look at Lecavalier's individual Corsi numbers the last 3 seasons when he was with the Lightning. His CF% is pretty much right there with the high minute players on the Lightning such as St. Louis and Stamkos, and others. Within one or two percentage points. So really stating that his possession stats are mediocre to awful the last 4 years, is very misleading. |

You certainly have the anger this team desires in their goaltenders. If you're looking to move up the ladder, I recommend finding Ho Sang and punching him in the face. - PhillySportsGuy

That's swell. Might wanna check the CF% REL, which shows a pretty significant difference between the three.
Aren't you the one always complaining about mis-using stats? In this case you're cherry picking one stat and ignoring the ones that mean more. If you're going to do that, please get off your (frank)ing high horse about stats and things being misleading. It's pretty tiresome.
Oh, and BTW, the difference between a 49.9%CF (Stamkos in 2013) and 52.2%CF (St Louis) and Vinny's 46.0% is fairly significant. The season before, Lecavalier's numbers do stack up better to Stamkos and St Louis, but are still fairly mediocre.
Anyhow, back to ignoring your nonsense. Have a great night |

Its not ideal to have Vinny on the roster in a 4th line center role. I have no issue with Hexy not eating money and giving up another asset (ie draft pick) for Vinny to be traded. He still does bring some good qualities to the table. Also, I would figure Vinny at least has some pride to come into camp ready to play because the rest of the NHL is basically stating "you are no longer good enough to warrant a top 6 forwards salary". I would hope that is enough of a kick in the arse for him to be in top physical condition. |

That's swell but I did look at the numbers, from extraskater.com going back to the 10/11 season. Including looking at CorsiRel%.
Lecavalier's CorsiRel in the 12-13 season is -0.8%. Just as I said, mere percentage points difference. And St.Louis CF% in 12-13 was 47.8%. The difference there is negligible, and not significant. His numbers aren't mediocre, they're right there with the team. It's a team number, not an individual number.
The entire team that played a significant amount of games in that season are all around that 46-49% range.

It's part of the residual from the Disney Trip. They saw the Frozen princesses, got the dolls, shirts, yada, yada, yada...then we get home and the damned thing is on Starz |

I know. My wife Nanny's for kids a few days a week and they watch the movie everyday and sing along to it. It's insanity. It would be like going to the same website everyday and discussing the same topics with the same people!... |
