Cant believe Danny Heatley wasn't mentioned once here. How many bad apples can that locker room hold?

Although Kesler is a great player he does have baggage and is seen as a me first and not team first player. Hearing Kane is the same. Anaheim is close to challenging for a cup, why add more drama?

Are they adding drama? Or are fans just talking about this supposed drama?

The ducks are so confusing like why toss Ryan under the bus a million times and then trade him to go out the next season and try to go after every player who is similar to him? Why not just keep him like wtf
- blizzzard

Bobby Ryan wanted Getzlaf/Perry money back then and now he'll want Toews/Kane money, or close to it. The Ducks couldn't afford to have 3 players at that cap hit.
There is no way in hell they're interested in Evander Ksne, especially giving up what Ed wants to in this blog.

I believe Ed is simply trying to be realistic with his proposal, Kane doesn't have a NTC so many teams could make serious offers.

Good point.

I believe players like Kane and Heatley need to be the smaller fish in the pond (pun intended) and it will be up to their teammates to keep them in line. Coaches and GM's can't bring out the best behavior in a player like good, solid veteran leadership can.

Ducks have more of a "bandwagon" than LA. They think because they won it 1st justifies them being a legit fan base

They all started actually watching hockey after the cup in 07.

Attendance proves it. They also broke tradition in hosting a cup parking lot gathering instead of a parade LOL

Ducks definitely have the pieces to make the trade but I wouldnt want that headcase but I so agree with him needing a bigger spot light (not saying anaheim is spotlight material) but a change of scenery is needed.

NY would be a good place NYR or NYI

DAL is a good option IMO as well

Could you be more of an idiot? I submit that you cannot.

LA's bandwagon is a lot more full right now than the Ducks' is. Hey, aren't you the cat who joined this board 4 days after the Kings won their second Cup in three years? Yeah, I thought so. I was at that clinching game. Did you know there was a game that night? Oh, sorry you missed it. It was a great game.

Who cares whose fan base is better? I watch hockey, not the fans. And yes, I'll grant you the Kings fan base is better. Just like the Rangers over the Isles and Devils. Just like the Dodgers over the Angels. Just like the Yankees over the Mets. Two and a half decades will do that for you. Do you know what it was like at the Forum in 1987, at your 20 year mark before Gretz got here?

Yes, no one was watching in 2003, when the Ducks made it farther in year 10 (30-team league) than the Kings had in 36 years (12-team league at one point-21-team league for quite a while). And no one was watching back when Selanne and Kariya were running up and down the boards. And no one was watching the Ducks for the better part of a decade while the Kings couldn't sniff the playoffs. No one was watching in 06-07 when the Ducks drew 95.4% of capacity to the Kings' 91.1% (regular season, before the Cup). And about half of the Ducks' season seat holders haven't held their seats since 1993. You just keep telling yourself this stuff. It should make you feel better. Do you get in the fetal position and suck your thumb while you write this crap? Maybe you could just celebrate your victory, you know, like a real fan would.

And the Ducks' fans broke tradition by attending the celebration the team planned for them? Dude, you're as off base as Rob Blake trying to be in the correct position on defense.

Holy sh!t...that was a (frank)ing good post. Can you choose Edmonton as your 2nd team and come help us battle trolls on our threads (or invade the Flames threads with us on slow nights), we could use a few good men.

That was a shot at the Nucks.

Ducks fans aren't really "bandwagon" I just make fun of them cuz I'm a Kings fan.......really do have a deep hatred for them though

Gotta respect them though, SoCal gets a bad hockey rep from "traditional" markets and even though their fan base is smaller than ours (Fun watching all the Kings fans at STAPLES south) their fans are dedicated

Still hate them though

He has never played on a really good NHL team in his career and he has the potential to take his game to another level.

If he gets traded to the Ducks, he will have still never played on a really good NHL team.

Who the (frank) judges how long a person has been a fan of a team by a join date on a hockey site?
That is the dumbest comment you constantly are making. Come see me at staples center at my seats and see how long I've been a fan dumbpoop sec 117 row 5 seat 5 & 6 they've know me since I was 10.

Get over the fact you have no argument and are a typical ducks fan thinking their team is more superior they are bottom 1/3 in attendance EVERY year. Until they prove everyone else they are loyal they continue to be an unfaithful fan base even when leading the league.

I bet you didn't even watch ruslan selai play for the ducks or mike ricci in San Jose or maybe even roman cechmanek Trevor linden. Cloutier Stefan Fiset

Get off your high horse and get over the fact I've been watching and following hockey almost as long as your team has been around.

Your name doesn't even reflect your team and I'm the bandwagon fan? Just stop while you are ahead.

You have guys that played in Detroit and Boston

Like I said meet me at staples and we'll see how much of a bandwagon I am.

Or I'll make it easier for you my cousin has ducks tickets I'll meet you at the pond

Bravo. Unbelievable response.

$10 he comes back with something along the lines of, "Yeah well the Ducks wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the Kings!!!!"
