Here's a trade proposal for every team in the East (if possible).

http://bit.ly/1t5Xw0c

These are all cap compliant and I took into account both teams needs. Some had to be a little more creative than Stan may be capable of.

Enjoy.

Ty, I like the way you flat out admit there is no trade to be made on a few. Some interesting proposals.

For sure. It's going to take a willing and capable partner for Stan. Should be an interesting rest of the summer.

sharp for Eller and a 2nd? Montreal would make that trade before Stan could hang up the phone.

Eller makes Bickell look like the model of consistency. He seemingly has everything to be a rock solid player and I like his potential. But in reality all he should cost is Leddy.

No matter the personal reasons, Sharp is a 1st line wing talent and a consistent 30 goal scorer. FFS Bolland just signed a deal for 400K less a year. I love Bolly too but there is no way he even close to the player Sharp is.

Sharp is A piece that should garner multiple assets in return. Not something you add to.

Okay so Eller and a 2nd = Olesz? Puhlease.

Eller has a career high of 30 points in the NHL and he was a -15 this year...103 points in 283 games is not exactly awe inspiring and not much better than Rusty Olesz who had a career high 30 points before being traded to the Hawks(also has 134 points in 365 games which is comparable to Eller). He was also another former 1st round pick like Eller...

It's like having an English teacher grading everything you post.

Not sure how that came out red, maybe it's the teachers grading pen.

Anyone who thinks the Hawks would have a hard time trading Sharp and would have to throw something else in just to deal him is mental. He was 12th overall in the league for points, 9th overall in goals, and a +13. He had more points than Thornton, Karlsson, Marleau, Kopitar, Duchesne, St. Louis, Kane, Krejci, Toews Vanek, Spezza, Tavares, Eberle, Bergeron, etc., etc., and is signed $5.9 for a few more years. The way salaries have gone up this summer, that is a steal. If they really wanted to trade him, especially as a salary dump, there would have been 29 teams bidding. The way many of you guys are just tossing him aside like he is crap is offensive. He is one of the best players the Hawks have ever had. Maybe his playoffs was kind of crappy, but he was clearly injured somehow, probably his shoulder, and he was stellar in their cup runs. 11 g and 11 a in 22 games in 2010, 16 points in 2013. Talon alone would blow his load to get him on his team. if he paid 5.5 for Bolland he would give 7.5 or more for Sharp

Olesz was damaged goods when he got here, it's not a good comparison...not at all. Eller at 3C would be a solid acquisition.

Toews, Richards, Eller, Krüger down the middle would be tough for teams to handle.

i thought he blew out his knee after he got to Chicago? its not a bad return and certainly better than some of the 2010 salary dumps but I think Zack Smith would be a better fit based on his PK ability and physicality..

Last time I checked, nobody can check you shoulder first into the boards in baseball, might make you hesitate a little more than say a laid back promo batting practice. And I said probably his shoulder. When he was asked about injuries, he didn't say no, he said he didn't wanna make excuses, which pretty much tells me he was injured.

I have to Sharp could bring back a nice return. If the Hawks do not want to take salary back they should be able to get a couple of high draft choices.

Shaw is a center and has played center pretty much his whole time with hawks.

And the rest? Shaw plays way bigger than Eller.

If your shoulder is hurt, you don't swing bats.

He didn't say no, because he wanted you to think that he was hurt because he was embarrassed (deservedly) at his pathetic second half of the season.

He's hot garbage. An anchor contract.

Nice read Ty...good article. I still don't know if they'll move Sharpie I think he's here for one more Cup run. Some really interesting scenarios there.

I don't think Versteeg will have any takers. I'm hopeful that he's going to be better this season with the knee injury a full year behind him and a summer in the gym.

Bickell underperformed in this year's playoffs, but again if you move him who takes that spot. And its a cap friendly deal he could have taken more money elsewhere after the 2013 run.

So down to defensemen or a package...of course if Stan didn't hand out NMCs to almost every player one would think he'd have an easier time making moves.

Bickell also came into last season injured and not in good shape - like Versteeg, let's see what he can do (presumably) healthy and after a (hopefully) productive summer.

I really like when Toews starts talking about winning the Cup (or not winning it). You can tell lifting that Cup is the reason he's on this planet.

This kid will go down as one of the greatest captains in history. We are in the middle of watching a Hall of Famer work his craft..I for one am thankful. Look around the NHL and the captains...full of whiners, divers, prima donnas, immature children...and the hawks got THIS GUY!!!!

- kwolf68

And it's all fans should care about, especially when you have the collection of talent this team started this decade with. No excuses, just win. 2 Cups is nice. JT isn't satisfied so NEITHER AM I!!!

43-44% on draws, more goals than assists. Probably why most people (and allegedly some with the Hawks) think he's better on the wing.

If your shoulder is intact enough to play playoff hockey, you can casually swing a bat with no issue. When I had a separated shoulder, I could still hit, generally without pain. Throwing was damn near impossible. But hitting uses almost no aggressive shoulder movement at all, it's mostly hips and legs and lower back, and that's only if you're trying to crush the ball.
