Among that group, hemsky at the time of the rebuild is easily the best player.

Horcoff was no slouch either.

I will not say that they were bad but I would rather have Hulder and Glencross vs Hemsky and Horcoff.

I feel bad for Hemsky. Really good player but the fans were so on top of him it destroyed him.

If he was in any other place but edmonton were the fans/media weren't so critical I think he would still be scoring 60 points a season.

Edit: Not saying the Flames haven't run people out of the building. But I feel the flames fans are a little more forgiving than the edmonton fans. It our owner that runs the players out.

I agree. It seems like every game he would have one amazing play leaving fans to believe he was about to break out but then he would go the rest of the game pulling "what the hell are you doing plays" He would have been a good complimentary player on a team like Detroit kinda like Hudler was.

I never got that impression at all. It was more like "God dammit we'd be so much better if we had anyone to tap the gimmes he's dishing up".

Those passes are the nice plays I was referring to. Other times he would hold onto the puck way too long and get rocked or lose it

well for those I'd be saying "just get to a shooting area and he'll get you the puck, you lazy-ass pancake loving sunofafemale dog!"

One last one Colin and I will be be done:

As a blogger, do you fear these Q&A's reinforce a writers misguided self importance? In some cases writers tend to start thinking theyre more than just another fan with an opinion. Not saying you do, but it certainly happened to Richard Cloutier...how do you stay grounded?
