You'd think he would be worth more than Berra, no?

Only to the Avs... he and Iggy...

He's worth way more...that Berra trade was (frank)ing weird and nowhere near market value don't you agree?
Edit: Probably get a 2nd and a prospect.

I love the boots as they are just so comfortable. I ain't no cowboy but I typically where boots, plaid and jeans on the weekend (every weekend just not stampede).

As for the hat I will never bring my nice hat to the bar. As I usually end up passing out on my hat.

Edit: I actually don't even wear my nice hat. Don't even remember the last time I did. I can't wait until the new horse track is built near calgary. Lethbridge and Innisville are to far to go bet on the racing.

I wear my boots all the time....with jeans and a Motorhead T-Shirt usually.

Oh definitely. Glenx might be our biggest tradable asset this year. He is exactly the type of player you want to add as a team going into the playoffs. Hard working, defensively responsible, can score 5v5, and is good in the dressing room.

I know they will ask him to waive his no trade. But I hope they re sign him later.

He has one more year on contract
He was saying on radio that he took a big discount that last time and basically hopes they factor that in this time (sounds like he was some extra overpayment?)

I would agree with that. I would be Ok with a 4 year $4.5 million. Specifically so he is the highest paid forward on the Flames. Maybe give Backlund a 4 year $4.25 m contract as well.

Sheeeeeesh.....I love Glen X but he is the perfect guy to deal at the deadline and get some great assets back. Maybe snipe another late 1st to combine with McDavid/Eichel and we will be killing it in no time!

And given he loves it here with his ranch and all, there's a good chance he would just come back right?
Let him get a taste of the playoffs, then return as a UFA

I only remember it happening twice, this year with Moulson returning to the Sabres and Tkachuk returning to St.Louis after a spring with Atlanta.

He will dont worry. The Flames and Avs have a deep trade relationship. Not until the last year of his deal. He will be traded at the trade deadline as one last hurrah! Or maybe he will pull a Jagr and just keep going forever.

I never used to like Jagr but when he came back to the NHL he seemed to have a completely different attitude which now I have so much respect for him.

I want Iggy to fight vincent lecavalier just once more.....

Lol...Smytty returning to Edmonton was a nice moment followed by some "fck does he look old" moments ,followed by some "get rid of him" moments, followed by some "He's looking way better" moments and capping off with a real nice final moment.

I'm glad he came back, but I was guilty of being disappointed that it wasn't the 3o year old Ryan Smyth.

i highly disagree
A. his goal tending style at 27 is to wild
B. he has never been over .92 in any league in the past 5 years.
C. joni ortio and jon gillies are way better prospects to spend our time on.
D. he was drafted in the fourth round so the 2nd we got was doubling up in my eyes

but time might prove me wrong.

Is it possible to make up a one game contract like Blue Jays did with Haladay? Then it would be only excitement and not all those other emotions. And he would get a Gordie Howe hatrick.

Colin, I have a question for ya. Given that our Oiler friend (cough) like to visit so often. Who between the Oilers and Flames do you feel will make an impact in the playoffs sooner considering current players, prospects and likelihood of picks next year?

he'll get traded at the deadline to a contender for a 2nd rounder probably.
- Jeropotato

And then resign in CGY in the off season.

I have a few questions actually. Who will the Flames finish higher than in the West and why?

With all the departing players and the new additions, do you actually thing the Flames will be better in 2014-15?

Does th lack of quality Flames posters ever get you down, and does it hurt to know you wouldn't have much traffic if us quality Oilers posters didn't show up to spark conversation?

Relax, ladies, just having a bit of fun with ya.
