I agree, why would anyone bash Martin he is the man.
Colin Mcdonald was the problem with 4th line. He sucked on every line. for the 3 games after being benched he played well he stunk it up rest of year.
He is slow, and lead all isles win worst Minus rating. He bellows in AHL.
Btw, if a two way contract isn't motivation. what is Donovans problem. He makes 80K in AHL vs 800K in NHL. wake up. - Spartiarti

I found more fault with Clutterbuck's game than MM. Many Many times he shot the puck when a much better option was available. - niteislander
Clutterbuck is a 4th liner on a team with depth and that should be his role this year. Last year he was playing anywhere from 2nd line to 4th line. He is what he is and that's a bottom 6 player and there is nothing wrong with that. Plus he is an excellent penalty killer |

If OUr 4th is CC, CC, MM that would be a very good 4th line. Plus they are all PK guys.

I can't see how that is not our 4th line next year unless somebody from that line is traded |

I would not be surprised to see Cal or MM traded in a Package. |

that's all Capuanos fault. . I think Cizikas has way more to offer. I think we are grossly underutilizing him. Cizikas could be a Callahan type if given the chance. - Spartiarti
I think he was overused by cappy,
The whole line in general.. They were a train wreck in their own end |

You start your nhl career with Martinek and Carkner and get back to me.. Guy has played two thirds of one nhl season.. He was good with DeHaan, people need some sort of patience with dmen.. |

Only took Capuano more than 3/4's of the season to figure that out. How the hell does that happen when he was an effective PK'er in Minnesota and our PK was atrocious? It's almost like he didn't know and Clutterbuck just told him one day after practice |

The only player to avg less ice time a game as a regular was Colin McDonald. So I don't understand how you can say he was overused. |

I believe if both Martin or Clutterbuck start the season sluggish, I could see one of them being moved...... |

Okay misused might be a better word, why were they always on the ice after we scored a goal only to give it right back |

Can we be more specific because for a hot second my jaw hit the floor when I thought you were saying Casey Cizikas makes almost $3M/year. |

Yes he was. He looked pretty good towards the end of last season. Pairing him with someone like Carkner had obvious results. That pairing would make me cringe and almost laugh at times(when the season was toast) but I like Donovan's potential. Always have. I understand why people have a hard time seeing it but the kid to me has talent. He grips his stick a bit too tight and over thinks each play which effects his timing IMO. He needs some direction. Whether he gets that from us is a different debate. |

Some teams that either want to swap players or have cap space would take on Cal... He's expensive for a 4th line duty for sure, but it depends on who or what GM wants him. |

Of course it can happen, but I just don't see it happening plus I would keep him over Martin. |

Howie would always point out how Capuano would throw them out there to stem the inevitable push after they scored a goal |
