For the record I don't feel their is a spot on this team for Bailey. Not for a lack of chances that's for sure. Staple said a month ago that Snow could have dumped bailey for nothing already but hasn't. Unless he is packaged in a deal I think he is on the team come September. - Vukota
Which im fine with. Im a glutton for punishment. |

Ignore the fact that he has averaged top 6 minutes since his rookie year. Its cool I get it. - Vukota
Post links to your argument, Johnny google. Lets get into Bailey ice time vs his linemates.
For a year he played with Trent hunter and Blake Comeau. Hey maybe he was top 6 in ice time that year. Awesome. He still never played with anyone of significance. When he did (okposo and Frans) he did well.
STATS ARE SKEWED. |

In other news today this site is becoming ridiculous with its pop ups. I jad to scan my phone three times in the past three months due to viruses. Anyone else dealing with this shat? - Cptmjl

Except that they tried him on a line with JT and they had to take him off because he sucked. He has bounced from line to line because of his lack of play not the other way around. Now you went from him never getting a top 6 opportunity to the top 6 he played with was never any good. All over the place |

Now he played with Tavares?? Let the kid play a legitimate amount of time with Tavares, not a panic shakeup. Then we'll talk.
You're acting like I'm saying hes a star. I'm saying he was drafted as a top line center and was misused from day one. I'm sure when he was drafted he was told he'd be a part of this rebuild. The same way they told Boyes he's play with Tavares if he signed. The same way they told grabovski an kumelin they'd be Lineys if they signed. Bailey was drafted as a top pt producing center out of Windsor and has been playing third line wing. For whatever the reason he's not found his niche on this team in this rebuild. It's time to move on... |

Google has to used for guys like you. You know the clueless type who post the stupidest things and try to defend it no matter how wrong they are. Then somebody like me has to use google to explain how you're wrong yet again even though it wasn't necessary for everybody else because they already knew. You haven't caught on yet that I only break out Google for guys like you? Weird never have to break it out for most of the other regulars. |

How much did Bailey play with Frans & KO? You know you pointed out how good he was with those two despite him setting career highs this past year without them. how big was that sample size? |

Sick argument. I don't use google because this forum is for discussion purposes. Guys like you are trying to Bully on here with your bullsh!t stats that are just that. Bullsh!t.
Isn't it funny that you end up saying the same thing as I am about bailey not being a apart of this teams future, yet you wasted an hour on trying to out google me about his skewed TOI. |

Google it. You've got 4 windows open now. What's one more?
The most success bailey had on the isles was FINALLY playing with players who the organization deemed top talent.
But lets talk about his 5 on 5 minutes in march in 2011 |

Don't know who that is, but no, I haven't liked anyone on Tavares right wing until okposo since his fight. |

What facts? That he was 2nd on the isles in ice time with half the team injured. Way to pile on to a retarded argument.
It doesn't address the issue which was bailey isn't part of this team if he is playing on the third line wing. |

In regards to Bailey, I agree that he'll be here but probably shouldn't be at this point. I'm not screaming for them to find any which way to get rid of the kid, but I'm awfully tired of hearing folks mention Okposo's arrival over the last two seasons as though it means Bailey will do the same.
For every NHLer who is a late bloomer like Okposo, there's at least 10 who never put it all together. My bigger problem with Bailey is that all of the things that scouts knocked him on predraft have turned out to be precisely what he seemingly lacks to this day. There's been no sign in improvement in his game since his first year. In fact, you could argue he's actually regressed. And while some try to mention his defensive play, it seems like more of an excuse for his total lack of offensive production. Frankly, he's not really that good defensively either.
When you have a player who has tons of skill but never seems to play with fire and fails to 'put it all together', eventually you have to start considering that he may never do so. |

Bailey has played EVERYWHERE. He's centered the second line...fail. Centered the third line...fail. They moved him to second line wing....fail.....third line wing...fail.
He has no fire...none. It's like the American version of Kvasha! |

The problem is the isles are so afraid of him waking up and producing elsewhere, that they keep him.....waiting. It's not happening.....move on.

Just curious, cause as far as I remember Frans has been the second line center for this 1000 year rebuild. When was Bailey second line center? Even when he played "second line" he played on Frans' wing
I agree with the lack of heart.....that's obvious. |

I agree. He reminds me of like you said the N. American version of Kvasha Tease once in a while and then disappear for long stretches. Snow has been really good with re-signing the kids to great deals but this one was a head scratcher for sure |

My argument about bailey since day 1 has never changed. They drafted a first line play making center, and ended up with a 3rd line wing. Any argument you wanna make.....the bottom line is he has no place on this team. - kindlyrick
Fair enough but when you say first line play making center do you mean they drafted him thinking he would be one in the NHL or they drafted a 1st line play maker from juniors hoping he could be a #2 center in the NHL. Because I don't think any of us ever thought he was going to be a #1 center in the NHL. Shoot most of us never even heard of him. |
