Okposo has been playing good with tavares and on the first line consistently for one full yr. Not a few. I dont think hes arguing as much as hes saying your post isnt accurate.
- Cptmjl

For two years now okposo has played well with JT. Okposo became the player he is now after the "fight" but was playing well with JT in the shortened season.

Regardless, my point is Bailey has been playing with a revolving door of linemates. He's not found his niche on this team. So move on.

Yep. Exactly. I was throwing shat at my tv bcs we didnt draft filatov

There seems to be a common theme with most Russian players. I was happy they didn't draft Filatov.

I think the problem is just that. Snow is worried that he'll find his game elsewhere. So what. He's not finding it on the isles.

In 2011/2012 (I think) they had Bailey playing with Trent hunter and Blake Comeau. That's not really a spot for a guy you drafted 9th overall as the first pick in the rebuild.

Get whatever you can and move on.

A prelude to the Nino fiasco. He played with some beauts also. Seeing a trend here.

That alone shows how good Strome is going to be.

Didnt get to see the late season games last yr but from what I read and heard. Strome wasnt playing with any of our better players for awhile. Yes? No?

The problem is that I said bottom six minutes when I thought I was being clear that bailey had played third line. It's my mistake as I wasn't clear. Time on ice for bailey is a bullsh!t stat as he's played PK and Pp2 minutes. Regardless he's been all over the place as far as linemates so be done. There's no spot on this team for him.

During a brief moment when I thought Bailey would amount to something. I posted on the main blog that I was happy Isle drafted Bailey over Filatov.

This was right after Filatov netted a hat trick. I was laughed off the blog.

Who's laughing now?

Strome played well when he was called up at the end of the season, so odds are good he'll make the isles. But, you never know with this management. He could end up playing wing with Martin and Cizikas. Nothing would surprise me.

He's been a third line guy on the isles. Minus the few times he's played with okposo and Fran's. Okposo has been playing with Tavares for a few years now.

TOI is skewed because Bailey has been playing on the "third line" and has been playing PK and PP minutes.

I'm not really sure where the argument is, as I've said it's time to move on.

He was 2ND on the isles in even strength ice time among forwards last year.So lets put to bed the notion that he was playing 3rd line minutes last year.

He had four goals and twenty assists the year before last in 48 games. He was invisible for more than half that shortened season. Most of this board was screaming to trade him. He played well for the back end of the second half. Most of his time was spent bouncing around the line up. He played with tavares occasionally. Most of his time was spent on a line with nielsen and that's where he had the most success. I know that bcs that's where I wanted him to start this year. Not really accurate saying hes played with tavares for two yrs. If youre going to say that you could also say bailey has played with tavares for two yrs prior to this one. They probably played somewhere near the same amount of time on the top line for the two yrs prior to this past season. Okposo didnt really click on the top line and stick till this past season.

Bailey is has been playing on the isles since 2009. If you're going to google, lets go back previous years as well.

Considering the injuries to half the islanders last year, there's a reason Bailey was 2nd in even strength ice time. So yes the stat is skewed.

Since you're Johnny google, I'll let you find the injury list from last season.

Based off memory, it seems pretty clear that after the isles placed their best playmaker on the IR the next best playmaker would get more ice time, no?

Other than you loving to argue with me lets be clear about the argument.

I've stated 465 times that Bailey is not in the plans for this team and that I don't believe he's a third line player. The only time really he's had success was playing second line with Fran's and Okposo. Coincidence? I think not.

Let me be clear. If Bailey is to be playing with Cizikas or Clutterbuck then it's time to move on.

Every year since he was drafted he has been in the top 6 in even strength ice time except for 1 year he was 7th he was a couple of minutes behind Grabner

He's playing on the third line. Who is on the islanders???? Who's challenging him for minutes??? Tryouts players?

I don't love arguing with you. You keep saying that he is playing on the 3rd line and I as well as others have stated that he has been playing top 6 minutes basically since his rookie year. Then you would follow it up with a bullshat excuse and then I would post something factual and then you say its skewed because it doesn't fit your argument

Put a link up to your argument. "Bailey was 2nd in ice time last year". Yeah cause half the forwards were injured.

For the record I don't feel their is a spot on this team for Bailey. Not for a lack of chances that's for sure. Staple said a month ago that Snow could have dumped bailey for nothing already but hasn't. Unless he is packaged in a deal I think he is on the team come September.
