I'd love to see there be some sort of exemption rule for that. I get the CHL teams are trying to make a buck, but there should be something that allows teams to assign a player elsewhere if they feel it' best for his development.

Maybe make it a once every three year sort of thing, with a cash payout to the CHL team...

That just seems wrong. If they go back to juniors a la Morin, it makes sense since he's not playing for a Flyers' affiliate. However, Hagg is getting paid by the Flyers, yet he isn't listed as having played for them. I understand it, it just seems wrong.

Yeah, it does. I wish it was as simple as sign the guy, bring him to the AHL and rock and roll. I'd love to have a CBA that is simple and clear cut. It sucks that fans have to know and worry about how much cash a guy makes.
