In the pop world, all bands try to do is get that 1 hit. A few (Katy Perry, Christine Aguilera) can actually stay. But they go for their 1 big hit to make it, and then fade away and file for banckruptcy 2 years later.

I actually enjoyed that one, the one where Jerry's girlfriend gets him out of the tickets, and the smelly car.

I think that part of it was that I never watched it and it was so talked up that it could never meet its expectations, so it let me down. Which is why I won't watch Breaking Bad. Because it just can't meet my expectations.

Pop music is a business. Bieber is marketed towards little girls, same as the Jonas Brothers. Once their business appeal is gone, their careers will be over. There are a few that start out as pop hits that actually go on to substantial things, i.e. The Beatles.

She is a good musician, but only got famous when she started dressing crazy and doing early 90's dance music. They are catchy songs, though.

i was along for the ride with 10, VS, and the pre-cursor mother love bone stuff along with temple of the dog, and mad season mash ups. after that - with vitology - i didn't dig it and never bothered with anything beyond that cd.

Actually, before she got famous, she used to be a studio song writer for other people. So she can definitely write songs.
