I always put ketchup on steaks American wit, for me, preferably at Pat's, but that isn't to say Geno's or Tony Luke's is bad. I don't discriminate. Actually, since I don't have a car in the city, I usually hit up Jim's out on South Street since it's the easiest to get to via public transit. It's a nice walk from the 2nd Street stop on the Market Frankford line...right along the water there with the bridge behind you for 5 blocks. Love Old City

I lived their for 3 years. My (now) wife worked at Campos and the owner would always send her home with food.

Sneaky good cheesesteak place in Old City is Sonny's. It's on Market between 2nd and 3rd.

My buddies have been preaching Sonny's for the past few months as well. I definitely have to check it out.

I'll never get the 'on pace' argument. It disregards what is for what might have been.

She was so magnificently funny in everything. I can't believe she's been gone 15 years.

We lived right next to Campos, so my wife would hide the Sonny's bag when she walked back to our apartment with Sonny's.

Campos is pretty good if you're looking for something a little different than the normal cheesesteak, If you just want a good ole fashioned cheesesteak, Sonny's is excellent.

I'm not opposed to american. I prefer american for burgers and omelets. Whiz for Cheesesteaks. I also prefer diced fried onions.

I'm not really big on hot peppers on the cheesesteak except when I get one from a place like Steves, Pats, Genos, etc. It's weird. I guess it's because they just have them out for you to take.

I get cravings for Steves. I think they put crack in their cheesesteaks. Only explanation.
