Last time I was there I ordered one with the fires on the side. It was the best food I've ever had in Pittsburgh despite the glare I got from the waitress. Every other thing I've eaten there was a stomach turner.

I haven't been to Pittsburgh since, oh...2003 or so.

It's awesome ------- made good use of an old church (beer brewed at what used to be the alter & behind the bar)

Sounds cool. There's a place in Cape May that turned an old church into a BYOB Italian place with really great food.

This sounds extremely unsafe. I hope everyone was ok and everything was kept under control.

I got the evil eye from the woman behind the counter when they got my order. I watched so she didn't do anything funny.

Second trip I went there I got an "authentic Philly Cheesesteak" from a bar that boasted them.

Two pounded out, over cooked flank steaks on a french roll with american cheese and uncooked onions. I threw it in the trash.

Wasn't he was scoring at a 37-goal pace early on this past season? Guess pace doesn't always hold up... just ask the Leafs.
- Tomahawk

It was actually a 33-34 goal pace. And it was obviously interrupted by a significant back injury, and then a position change. Based on Lecavalier's track record as a proven scorer in the League. No reason to believe that if he didn't get injured, he would've continued to score at a high level. The Leafs have squat to do with Lecavalier.

Hockey tournaments keep dragging me there and prior to that I went to two Pens games with friends. The place and the food is disgusting. It's like the friggin' jungle... you really need a local to keep you out of the sinkholes and make sure you aren't eating anything that will kill you.

After the first few trips we only bought food from the super market until Primanti Bros the last time out.

Maybe I should take you the next time we go? How are you in a hotel with 200 stinky teenaged hockey players?

It was kind of the same back in 2003. Saw a Pens-Flyers game on the way to Detroit area, had the sammich before the game and was full until I started driving back to Philly three days later

No no.

EDIT: At least there was no "spaghetti saws" on the cheesteak, like the vagabonds in Lancaster operate. Jesus Christ. I need to specify, "no sauce" when I'm brave enough to get a cheese steak. Unreal.

My favorite line in the movie is "DOES ANEHWUN HAVE UH DAHHM?! SOMEONE'S GUN HAFTUH GO BACK N GIT A poopLOAD UH DAHHMS!!"

The absurdity of it all- what with just being able to go around the (frank)ing toll thing. Then he delivers that line. (frank)in priceless

I don't see it.

I'll put ketchup on an average cheese steak to hide the meat a little but keep the sauce off of it.

I always put ketchup on steaks American wit, for me, preferably at Pat's, but that isn't to say Geno's or Tony Luke's is bad. I don't discriminate. Actually, since I don't have a car in the city, I usually hit up Jim's out on South Street since it's the easiest to get to via public transit. It's a nice walk from the 2nd Street stop on the Market Frankford line...right along the water there with the bridge behind you for 5 blocks. Love Old City

I love that entire movie. Mel Brooks is a genius, and that film was co-written by another genius in the late Richard Pryor.

It was brilliantly cast & the actors were unbelievable in their roles. Even the minor roles were executed perfectly.

Everything. Small roles, big roles, good movies and bad, she was great.
