You don't seem to understand the concept that no one has to and wants to overpay.
Works just as well the other way.
And no one is going to give you Mantha, he is untouchable as far as Wings are concerned.

1) There are multiple teams with severe Cap issues that have D men available (Boston, Chicago, few others).
2) Wings have enough top D RH prospects available to try the in house solution until at least January.

That might be correct and it might not be, time will tell ....comes down to how badly the GM wants the player....if Murray already said any trade involving Myers will cost a LOT, my question is why would any GM waste their time inquiring?....well, either because the GM is going to make a move(which would piss off some fans) or he thinks he can get the asking price lowered(not likely but I guess worth a try)

Murray really doesn't bullpoop. He does the things he says. When he says "I'm not making trade calls and shoppiung guys like Myers/Foligno/Hodgson" and goes on about making fun of the rumors about it, and continues to explain in seperate instances about how those specific guys, especially Myers and Foligno are in the future plans..you tend to believe him. He's been pretty upfront about a lot of things.

"We want leadership" - we got it
"We want to trade up into the first round" - he tried with 7 different teams
"We're probably buying out leino" - that.
"We're pursuing guys in free agency that want to be here and have Buffalo ties" - that happened too
"we're not shooting for just a playoff spot but we could if we wanted to" - pretty recognizable after the deadline, draft and free agency.

yeah because you want buffalo to race for the 8th seed and dwindle in mediocrity with mediocre players. buffalo has a good chance at mcdavid or eichle this upcoming draft. after that im sure buffalo will trade away good players, that don't fit the team, for something that does. buffalo fans want a Stanley cup, not a mediocre team.
