He really doesnt we will be ready to compete in 2 years and at that point we will have at least 3 defensemen probably 4 that will be better then him. So why wouldnt we trade him for young fowards which we need. We only have 2-3 top six players that project to be top six players. Even with next draft we still could use more good fowards.

That is just it . We are 20 million under the cap . Why should we move him unless we get overpaid . Please try and understand the concept . Buffalo is not calling trying to trade him . Other teams are calling our GM trying to trade for him . Simple economics . Supply and demand !

The Wings have 5 elite prospects they would love to keep them all but doesnt make sense. If they could get a d-men who bowman loves they should do it. He can improve their team immediately while prospect wont be good for 2 years.

Myers has been on a dysfunctional team for the last 3 years during crucial years of his development. He was thrown to the wolves and expected to be a franchise defensemen at 20 years old after his Calder year.

He's not Drew Doughty or Shea Weber. However he's pretty damn good. If they move him they will be making a big mistake

Well you consistantly over valued Myers by a mile in each scenario I'll give you that. How about Myers and Hodgson an a third to Pittsburgh for Malkin, Maatta and Pouliot and a first. Whilst we wade through dream land.

So let's say we get 1 of McDavid or eichle. We then have moulson, hodgson, ennis, reinhart, Girgenson, grigorenko, compher, armia and maybe even stafford fighting over top 6 roster spot. Crosby didn't play on a line with their 2nd or 3rd best scoring foward. Buffalo doesn't need 10 really good goal scorers. Just needs 2 or 3. The rest can be 15-25 guys.

So nhl teams cant try to convince a player to move there ntc? He did not say Thornon would or had any interest all he said is the jets are interested in him. Not sure what your post is all about.

In two three years those players will have almost 200 games under their belt. So we will dress them all and have two veterans like gorges and maybe weber.

Best point ive seen all day...the future looks great but we need to be done finding young prospects, use our 3 2015 picks and then focus on landing a few vets. You can't have 80% of your top 2 lines under 23 years old

Just bcz Myers is not a elite dman in the league does not mean buffalo wants to move him, like at all. Point is if we were to it would be to a team that overpays for him.
