He said he is not activly shopping Myers, but takes calls on everyone. He did say if someone wants to "over pay" anyone could be traded.

As far as what Murray has said, he stated his strong D core by naming all the players, except Myers (and that was months ago) so I dont know it that means anything, but he has stated he believes Myers will never reach his potential (in his opinion). So I do believe he is going to get traded. I like Myers and don't mind him on the team, but if he gets a young rising star and a 1st rounder in 2015, he should be traded.

Buffalo feels pretty happy about its future d. Myers, ristolanen, zadorov, McCabe, gorges and Pysyk. Buffalo also feels that we have a great chance at getting McDavid or eichle this upcoming draft. Adding that to our fowards of moulson, ennis, hodgson, Girgenson, reinhart, grigorenko and armia will give us a decent top 6.

If buffalo traded away Myers it would have to be an overpayment for him bcz it would seriously weaken our d future.

The sabres are not actively shopping Myers but does listen to calls from other gms incase somebody does want to overpay for him.
