Turned out fine. All of those prospects are coming along. Strome, nelson, one of the best defensive prospect pools in the nhl. Taking longer than expected bit should start seeing results more so this yr.

Grigorenko is just fine . Victim of the CHL/NHL transfer rule . Not ready for the NHL and too good for junior . He will get it together in his first full year in the AHL . Some players take longer to develop . Not a big deal.

I don’t think they would. I think most educated fans would say that it takes a lot of things to go right for that to happen. I think most educated fans would say that they have no idea either way if the Sabres will be competing for a cup in 4 or 5 years, because so much in the NHL can change in that timeframe. I will say this, it took Crosby and Malkin on ELCs two years to bring the team close to the top. It also took more than those just two. I wouldn’t underestimate what it takes to bring a team from the league basement to the top.
