Now we just wait for the pool to develop . So the rebuild as far as acquiring talent will be over . Now it just has to be developed . Realistically they will contend for a cup in 4 to 5 years . Will contend for a playoff spot in 2 to 3 years

Yeah and we already have 3 1st and 3 2nds how much more do we need? It's not like we are gonna go from worst to 1st in 1 year. But we will have an elite #1 in either McDavid or eichle. Then we just need to fill 5 spots from moulson, hodgson, ennis, reinhart, stafford, Girgenson, grigorenko and armia. Think we can find 5 top end fowards there.
The whole point is buffalo is trying to build a team that will be a serious cup contender and not a team that hopes to squeak into the playoffs. Ur just made bcz I think the islanders are a team without any direction.
