I love when a teams GM states a player is not on the market unless an offer blows his socks off . Yet fans of other teams think they can trade for that player with their scraps. Long and the short of it Tyler Myers is not on the market unless someone overpays . That is not a teams fans over valuing the player . That is fans echoing the words of their GM.

Myers has a lot of value when you consider his age, rookie season, and potential considering defenseman mature slower than forwards. You aren't going to get anything close to most of what the Sabres fans are throwing out there.

you can place whatever value you like on myers. don't know why you are even bothering. it has been said many times, only way a deal gets done is if the other gm overpays for myers. meaning elite forward or #1 dman.

I would argue this past year was his best all around year. He was the best player on the ice for either side in a lot of games. It's not his fault he's on a mess of a team

GMs only say that when a guy is on the market and they really want to move him. It's just posturing to try to drive the price, but it's not going to drive it up as high as a lot of Sabres fans think it will. Darcy was great at getting getting teams to over pay but he couldn't get half of what is being thrown out for Myers.

whats there to posture? murray is not calling anybody about myers. other teams are calling him and making offers. it would be foolish not to listen to them. what if another team blows his socks off with a trade? im glad you like your players. I like them too. I wish Detroit all the best and if they want to overpay for myers they can have him. overpay meaning young elite forward or #1 dman.

Our new GM is brutally honest . That is why we love him. For the 1000th time , then he won't be traded . The Sabre fans that think he will be traded are our idiots . I am sure Detroit has a few of them as well.

My honest value for what the Wings CAN offer would be either Tatar or jurco, plus Sproul or Ouellette or even kindl and a 2nd. To me that's very fair. Yes Myers has a lot of huge potential but so do Tatar, jurco, Sproul and Ouellette Buffalo gets 2 great prospects and a fairly high pick for a top 2 d Man.

With your untouchables . Detroit and Buffalo are just not great trading partners . Especially for Myers . Our GM says the deal has to blow his socks off. Why do people get insulted by that? It is the fact . Can't do it ? Move along no hard feelings.
