Not the path you want to take.

I'm actually glad you are here because I don;t think there is a poster here that gets personally insulted more then me and nothing ever happens, I'm glad you've got my back. It's about time we just stuck to hockey and cleaned this up a bit.

To be fair I don't insult you tuna... But, I don't think a lot of what you say makes any sense. I don't care for people who insult others just to make themselves feel better... a few people on here do that... I think you are a passionate guy and you believe what you are saying. There is some credit to that. At least you are doing it within the Sens thread and not venturing over to another teams thread to try and sh1t on them without cause.

Alfie and Nash havent won the Cup you are correct - they were just Captains of their teams and grew hockey in markets that were new to the NHL - on and off ice leadership and 200 foot games on the ice.

Could Kessel do this? I don't think so.

And the Olympics are a perfect example of Kessel's game. He is great against Slovenia and Slocakia, against the power teams he does nothing - this is the type of player he is and always will be.

You can't teach heart and desire, you either have it or you don't, and Kessel doesn't have it

- tuna99

Where are you getting the info and stats on how much heart or desire a player has? Show me some links where players, coaches openly say Kessel isn't a player you win with. I need to see some actual quotes or proof that people that know the guy think this way before I take you seriously because I think your just making this all up.

Kessel out produced Kane at the Olympics, a guy we can all agree is a winner and plays when it counts right? Note, Kane also said Kessel is his favourite player and him and Sharp love to watch him play.

If you want to say how great did Kessel did at the Olympics on a team that bombed I think that says all there is to say about Kessel.

And how do I measure heart? I watch hockey and judge players based on how hard they play.

Ovechkin jumping around after he scores might make you think he has heart - but I don't think he does. I watch the game and not just the hilites.

I think a player like Kessel is the 3rd or 4th piece to the puzzle for a cup winning team..

It starts with a goalie capable of stealing at least 1 win per series. Then a top line C that can drive play. Then a top flight D man that can protect leads and get the puck up to the forwards effortlessly and then it's an elite winger to finish things off. So the Leafs having Kessel is great but it's not the be all and end all of a championship team.

Kessel has only ever had negative +/- seasons in Toronto - not his fault but it shows he has done nothing beyond his red line going the other way to improve the state of the team.

Boston gave up on Kessel because of his attitude, it's been documented he doesnt really gel with his teammates and isn't the type of player you give $8 million too because he's a one dimentional PP player.

The Leafs made a mistake trading for him and they made a bigger mistake signing him to the $8 million a year extention - hes an offensive threat but like i said and everyone knows - he has ZERO leadership, plays a 120 foot game, is immature on and off the ice and his teammates think he's a weirdo.

Keep him, he'll rack up all the offensive stats to justify the $$$ but at the end of the day he won't do anything for your team to help them win.

Quite the opposite actually. Several players have been quoted as saying is a favourite in the dressing room. And not just the Leafs.

Prock, you can either leave this thread or face a long term ban.

I'm sick of your constant trolling of the sens boards.

The warnings are done.

I have disagreed with you at times on your hockey opinion. But, I do not believe that I have been disrespectful or discouraging towards you. I read all your posts and enjoy them.

vs someone who couldn't even make that team? Couldn't spell intensity?

Bobby Ryan played for the Ducks for 6 years. Did you know the Ducks best season in the past 8 seasons are the only two Bobby Ryan didn’t play?

- prock

Did you know Bostons best season were after they traded Kessel and Toronto's worst (or the 18 wheeller and the cliff, greatest playoff collpase and last season greatest bomb drop off all time) were with Kessel on the team?

Did you know that Colorado won a Cup without Forsberg in the lineup?

I don;t know if you have a point here - you are comparing teams without players on them. That's like me saying Los Angeles won the Cup this year because they decided to retire Luc Robitaille and if was on the team he would be to old to compete and make the team suffer

Kessel might be boring and kinda fat and ugly, but anyone that doesnt see hes awesome at hockey doesnt watch enough hockey.
