He's 16U. The kid would play out, the parents say no way. They don't want him to get hurt but shooting pucks at him and stomping/charging him in the crease is all good.

I was at an AHL game when the Maine Mariners rolled in with them on...the entire rink went silent for what felt like 5 minutes. Just awful

Absolutely, I'd be interested. Don't see it happening, though, and the cost would be prohibitive right now.

Certainly we would have interest, the comment was a knock on EK (not very nice). yes, the price is obviously the key question here. Both Scheens plus? I'm personally not interested. Hagg, L. Scheen, Vinny and Laughton or a similar trade where cap plus youth go I'm mildly interested.

They eliminated them because the players slid to much when they fell IIRC. Goalies also complained about the Flyers Cooper-alls because they couldn't spot the puck through traffic.

Both were complaints that were made at the time. Players also complained that the long pants were hotter to play in than the traditional short pants/shell and socks combo.

The NHL cited player safety when they banned them.

Funny thing is, the Flyers didn't wear Cooperalls. They wore CCM pants called CCM Propac. The Whalers also used the CCM version

Could sign a guy like Handzus or Colin Fraser as a stop gap/competition for Laughton. If he's not ready one of them can play 3C and if he is they can be the 4th line C
