Why wasn't team Canada his? Why was Crosby captain? If you are going to pick something that makes Toews stand out over Crosby, then pick something that he's better at. There's no reason to think Toews is a better leader than Sid. None.

But since there are factors like Crosby's failure to capture a second Cup and the fact that he is one head shot away from being invited to dinner at the Lindros home leads me to think I would pick Toews.

And I totally respect that. We watched what he did in the WJC and he had champion and leader written all over him. But it's more than points, it's just overall ability. Crosby is still a step above everyone else.

Not to mention how many playoff runs got ruined by either injury or Fleury choking or both. Chicago and Pittsburgh are two very talented teams but Pittsburgh seems to look like the "when everything goes wrong" scenario while Chicago looks like "everything always goes right" scenario.
