I'm curious how people will react if they play better next season. Say they improve their defensive zone coverage, improve the possession stats everyone loves, and show a natural, positive progression in their younger players. If there is one thing the Leafs have shown us it's that you can't trust them to be good or bad on any given night. You just have to wait and see.

I think the fins together will surprise us and give us way more energy on the third line, and contribute offense above expectations. The fourth line too will have more energy less face.punchers. All in all I think the team will improve this season. Despite what the naysayers say. Looking at their first 10 games.....if we play .500, we have a chance. However, looking at the first 10 games, we could be 1 - 9. If we're well under .500, after 10, the management should just pull the chute for the rest of the season. This team, on paper, is no better then .500 and not likely a playoff team. Sure, the top dogs have slipped, but not by much in the east. Allot of the teams behind us have made major improvements, while we've cheap'd out at the UFA end. I'm all good with that, because I think drafting a number 1 centre is paramount, for this team to go forward in the future. This is the year to bottom out.
