Exactly its been a very long time since we had a guy who didn't just stand in front of our goalie and turn his head the other way while the other team snows or pushes or hacks our goalies we have been a push over on the back end since Stevens left if either of those guys could end up half like Stevens I'll be a happy man - blizzzard

I'm excited to see how much kujawinski has improved he could be a diamond in the rough also pretty pumped to see Boucher and matteau. Wedgewood will be good to get a look at to |

I just read an article from a TG tweet that was about the new AHL rules. The one I thought was pretty cool is the 7 minute OT, where it goes to 3 vs 3 after the first whistle beyond 3 minutes, designed to reduce the % of games going to the shootout. This would be good for the Devils.
I personally hate the shootout, not because we suck at it, but because (IMO) it is a stupid way to decide a TEAM sport. I like my fathers analogy of it being like tie NFL games being decided by the QB throwing the football through swinging tires, which would be stupid. Team sports should be decided by team play and this rule would be a good step in the right direction. |

The shootout has been around for a while(at least internationally) so I'm fine with it sticking but they need to make it more shooters, because as is, you could have two guys that may be completely useless everywhere else but happen to be good in the shootout and that team will win because one guy misses. Making it like 5 shooters at least makes it so your team is good at shootouts rather than just like this one guy is good |

I see your point with the five shooters, but to me, one of the most exciting proponents of hockey is that anything can happen at any time, each team has equal chance to score, at any given moment, (except on PP/PK where it is weighted). The shootout, to me takes away from that as like in baseball, only one team can score / not score while the other defends. In regular play, you have to attack and defend, which (IMO) is why hockey is the most exciting and dynamic spectator sport on the planet. So when a game is so closely matched that it goes beyond regular time, having it end in something other than the same type of play to me, is always disappointing. Especially for Devils fans last year lol. |

I've always thought that going to 3-on-3 would be just as gimmicky because it would pretty much be 2-on-1s until someone scores which would be exciting at first(like the shootout) but I feel would get old quite fast. I'm all for the long change and possibly extending OT but I just don't like the idea of 3-on-3. I mean its a practice drill |
