I'm saying it now; you guys will win the cup this season. I think you are one bottom six player away from being the favorite in the West, especially since the Canucks and Sharks are in free fall mode. Your only competition is Chicago and LA. St. Louis is right there as well. - Panthers88
You are out of your mind if that's there only competition in the west. Dallas gave the Ducks a hard time last year. And they just got way better. You think the Av's are pretenders? Hell no!! The wild also improved. The Ducks might have gotten slightly better then last year (so far). And Fowler is no #1 D man yet IMO. Plus, goal tending is the big question here. Of course Anderson and Gibson seem like they will be fine, but that is yet to be seen. |

Only kings fans think the Ducks goalies are a question mark. By getting rid of Hiller, the Ducks have improved their goaltending. Andersen was much better than him last season. The reason the kings beat the Ducks is because Hiller started game 1. Otherwise, the Ducks win that series in 5 games. Kings fans are really reaching to convince themselves their team is better. They aren't.

A 2013/2014 rookie with spot starts last year and a rookie this year constitute your platoon going into this year. You are diluting yourself into thinking the goalie question is solved for the Ducks. And we don't have to convince ourselves that we're better. We have The Cup. That's objective proof. |

Your Savior, Gibson had a chance to clinch for the Ducks in game 7. What happened? He allowed 4 goals in the first period. The most important game in Ducks history and the team choked. They're big questions in regards to goal tending for the ducks. Enough of this game 1 crap.....Ducks are playoff choke artist until proven otherwise |

Its so funny how they are stuck on game one. Yeah that goal in the last seconds was no way Hillers fault. Maybe they should look at their weak ass D. Ducks had two chances to finish the kings and did not take advantage. They lack that killer instinct. I thought my #1 hated team shifted to the sharks. At least sharks fans don't keep coming up with excuses. The kings have won the cup 2 out of 3 years. So how can you keep coming up with excuses that the ducks are a better team? |

Uhhhhh, wrong. 2003, 2006, 2007 all had much bigger games for the Ducks. No need to read your comments after that. |

Now, to be fair, this post is probably correct. Painful, but correct. |

Really, ducks could've gotten the monkey off their back by moving forward to the WCF. They got beaten by the better team. I think you read most of my comment by the time you read this part. |

I kind of agree. It was a close series until game 7, wherein we got beat, plain and simple. But while there are question marks in goal it's not the kind of question marks like some teams have it's just a lack of experience in my mind.
You can always blame luck or bounces but if you take a look back at almost any cup winning team they all had one or two or more things go there way. If the league was based on skill or team strength alone there would be much more of a disparity between the top teams and the bottom teams as far as the standing are concerned.
By the way that "some teams" portion was not a dig at the kings in any way. |

I like this because it is intelligent. Well played, Clovis. |
