so the leafs are in on 3 of the 5 players?

I would be shocked if any of these guys end up in TO. Where would setoguchi fit?
Thornton is not gonna go to a team that doesnt have a shot at the cup, and ROR will cost a kings ransom.

I bet the leafs are actually interested in about 25% of the players they are rumored to be after

It is amazing how Toronto is mentioned as the destination for every single player in NHL!!

ahhh its because the leafs have a huge fan base, and it gets hits for sites like this.
No one expects most, if any, of these players to end up in Toronto. The only player who makes sense out of these guys is ROR, and I can't see Nonis gambling with a package including JVR to get him

I think the Avs and Lightning should make a deal. Ryan O'Rielly for Jonathan Drouin. That would be a great trade for both teams.

Avs will want at least another #1 pick . Tampa could do it as they have New York's.

Watching MacKinnon and Drouin play together again would be insane.

this isn't fantasy hockey, this is why you guys will never be able to think like GM's.

everyone knows the avs are against the wall and don't have much leverage in regards to o'reilly should they decide to trade him. why would the bolts waste 3 years of drouin's ELC for a guy already demanding 6M+???

bolts already have a plethora of C...stamkos, johnson, filpulla, boyle, even killorn can play C.

this site is full of noobs, it's no wonder you guys think thornton will waive to go to a bottom feeder like ottawa when we all know he will only go to a top contender like pittsburgh, rangers, toronto etc.
