ROR is under team control for a few more years though no? but yeah who knows what the deal with this kid is. he should have been signed to a long term deal a while back.

plus he's not that young. you don't want to go short term and risk losing him as a UFA. it's going to be similar to Schneider. that's why i don't get people ripping that deal. the ONLY other option NJ had was to go short term.

If he plays like he did last season he deserves a good contract and I will have no problem locking up a good goalie. Goaltending can make a team a playoff team. Just like Montreal with price. If they didn't have him they would probobly not make the playoffs.
