I just read about them, yeah that looks like a nice dog. Big, strong dogs. I always thought it would be nice to have a dog that not only is a pet but is actual security for your household too. Just because it's there. Nobody's gonna come around with one of those out in the yard. They look really nice and friendly too.
- Zezel

They are absolutely amazing as pets mine is such a sook. They also have one of the better traits of being able to distinguish between a threat and a non threat.

honestly any dog over 40 lbs that barks works quite well.

but if you want tough and tough looking, Ridgeback is a great way to go... nothing says get off my lawn like a dog with a Mohawk

- Badge

Not huskies.

They're too friendly, even if they look like wolves.

Just get a tibetain mastiff.

If they're good enough to protect villages from tigers/wolves, they're good enough for kids trying to break in.

pfft, what's a couple mil when it comes to a best friend that can kill anything, and can transform from goofy-looking puff ball to a ball of deathfury in 0 seconds?

A large dog, the Cane Corso Italian Mastiff is strongly built but elegant looking. Possessing powerful and long muscles, the Cane Corso looks more athletic than most mastiffs - it looks more like the original Old English Bulldog then the Neapolitan Mastiff. Basically, the overall impression you should get from the Cane Corso Italian Mastiff is one of power, balanced with athleticism

10-11 years

Litter Size:5-7

Group:Mastiff

Recognized By:FCI, AKC, NKC, APRI, ACR

Color:gray, fawn or red, with brindle variations. A black or gray mask also acceptable

Hair Length:Short

Size:Large

Shedding:Moderate Shed

Male Height:24-27 inches (64-68 cm.)

Male Weight:99-110 pounds (45-50 kg.)

Female Height:23-25 inches (60-64 cm)

Female Weight:88-99 pounds (40-45 kg.)

Living Area:The Cane Corso can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise. This dog will be content to live outdoors in warmer climates provided it has enough shelter. The ideal living situation in a home with an average-sized yard.

Seen em close to 140 - 150lbs

Stay away from GSDs, I had one, and she was awesome... such an amazing dog... but the breed itself is broken down. Too much in-breeding- you don't know what you're going to get personality wise, and you can count on bad hip problems.

You're selling me on this.

I had a neighbour who had some kind of mastiff in his backyard. The friendliest, sweetest, laziest puppy you'd ever meet. But this was also the biggest animal I'd ever seen that wasn't livestock or wildlife or in a zoo. It was shocking to see a dog this big, way more noticeable than a great dane. I don't know exactly what it was, but you just looked at it and said I pet this dog but if I tried to break into that house he would just rip me in half.

Had my first at 4;20, I don't indulge in the regular 4;20 activities so I compromise.

Been test driving vehicles all morning, hit up a patio for some lunch and beer, then did a couple if laps at the pool. Overall, been a great day.

I was shocked researching breeds about some of the things like how so many big dogs have hip problems, or problems caused as a result of breeding just for a certain look of dog. In the end I'm probably going to get a mix breed based on general type of dog...it's the same thing with cats, I like the purebreds but I always end up with the one that came up to the porch in winter or was found in a box in an alley...and they end up ruling lol
