ah yes the savior komarov who played 6 mins a game - that must be it.

yet its ok to pay komarov 3 mil for his 15 points, but not grabo for his 50+

Leafs with Komarov? Playoffs
Leafs without Komarov? No playoffs

It's your damned logic, I'm just pointing out how godawful it is.

Frattin played with Kadri, and looked awesome there.

Grabo had a shot at an offensive role that season, and lost it.

Because he wasn't playing well.

- Feeling Glucky?

awesome for what? 10 games?

you honestly have 0 grasp of reality.

it was a shortended season, grabo was sick for half the season with gastral problems, unable to keep food down, therefore having nothing in the tank for days.

that had nothing to do with it, or the coach, or the linemates...nothing

give it up, you dont like the guy. i get it, i dont care.

of course he was bad at shutting down, the guy is an offensively gifted forward.

would you put crosby on a line with kulemin and frattin at 11 mins a night and expect him to produce 70 points?

lets be serious here.

- big_dion

I agree, it just sounded like you were saying they made the playoffs because Grabo was their shutdown center.

A 20 year old barely a PPG in the OHL who disappeared in the playoffs. Yes a grinder then.

Right?

it was a joke dude, he never should have been in that situation to begin with.

if we had any coaching what so ever, they would have moved kadri or grabo to the wing to play with eachother and used a real defensive center to shutdown.

Last night Grabbo tried to...to kill me. I could not bring myself to dismember his corpse, so I buried him in the cellar. God help me, I buried him in the earth floor of the fruit cellar.

You're missing the point all together.

It's not that I don't like the guy- I do.
It's not that there wasn't a good reason for him to be playing like poop- there was.
I'm not trying to make the argument that Grabo is a bad hockey player or anything like that... you're just reacting to anything even slightly anti-grabo like usual...

the point is: He played poorly that season. Even you're admitting it with this post... but the stats show that he was good that season.

THAT'S MY GODDAMN POINT.

Stats can show a guy was awesome, when in reality, he was poop.

And it doesn't matter that he was poop because he was sick, or because his linemates weren't as good, or because his feelings were hurt, or whatever.

He played poorly enough to lose his offensive spot to a rookie, and get bought out right after signing a big contract. But the stats say he was awesome.

Having three 2nd line centers with no 1st or 3rd line center caused that situation. Someone was going to get screwed either way. Kadri looks terrible on the wing and I don't know how Grabo would do on the wing either. Bozak likely would have made the most sense as the 3rd line center but he played well last year so I don't care anymore lol.

Yes. The Leafs should have played McClement more than they did. It worked out so well this season.

the point all along is the leafs were retarted to buy out grabovski because he had 1 bad season in a 48 game season, while having a sickness he coudlnt control and they couldnt get under control.

they still managed to make the playoffs with him in that role.

so, what im saying is, and have been since day 1.

buying out grabovski was a mistake.

instead we got cap space for who? clarkson?
we lost kulemin, who was good with grabo, and mac too who said that carlyle is a complete and total idiot and has no idea what hes doing.

but thats ok, we still have randy and were looking great arent we!?

Grabovski has been the best 3rd line checking center the leafs have had in years
