From Ho Sang

“If I was a general manager and had first pick in the draft, I’d pick me No. 1,” he told The Sun. “In three years, I’ll be the best player in this draft. And I have no doubt about that. I know myself. I know the other players. I believe in my ability. There are guys ranked ahead of me who are nowhere near me."

Something tells me the 66 thing isn't going to be the worst thing with him. Lucky for him he's still young and will mature. Just hope he bulks up, cause 5 ft 8, 165lbs ain't cutting it in the NHL

You have a real hard on for the height and weight of players.

I don't know why I respond to you....you either just want to argue for the sake of arguing, or you just don't get it.
- kindlyrick

ohh no I get it.... You are upset because the kid is breaking an unwritten law... Big friggen deal. If the other players feel as strongly about this law they will let him know about it on the ice.. if his teammates feel as strongly about this law they will let him know in the locker room... Either way... he will have to prove why he wants the limelight/bulls eye on him... Good for him.. I wish him all the luck.

I watched the prospect game and saw him go one on one with Czuczman, and Czuczman stood him up easily. My point which I thought was clear, is Ho Sang needs to bulk up to make the NHL..

My only response is we can agree to disagree. If he was a Ranger prospect wearing 66, you'd say "who does he think he is"? I don't care what team he's property of, you don't wear 66....it's bushleague.

I'm under contract to burger king for endorsements and can't say their chain name.

Who is it that thought he is a good enough coach to risk their career on?

He does it with grace whether I agree with him or not on some topics. There were a couple times where his point got twisted into something else and I would've told everyone to go fack themselves a dozen times and been banned shortly after.

Not for nothing but who doesn't? Do you not think that's not a deciding factor along with skill, mental fortitude, etc? So youre telling me if some four foot kid that could really play got signed by snow youd just be like, "well snow says hes great so sounds great to me!"? Its a huge determining factor. Yeah there are players that supersede that but they are few and far between.

There's a reason why NOONE in the NHL wears 66. It's just understood. For a kid who was on half the leagues "do not draft" list, I personally would prefer him to tone it down and focus on hockey. Wearing Lemeiuxs number is just arrogant.

Agreed..........when i watched the prospect game, i saw Czuszman stand up Ho Sang. Now thats not to say Ho Sang cant, get by him, but he's gotta add some size.

Sidenote : I think Czuszman is pretty darn impressive. Big kid who can skate...

I happen to agree with you most of the time......and even if I dont, there's nothing wrong with a back and forth. Isnt that what Hockeybuzz is all about?

Where I get my feathers ruffled is when I read people blindly following the Snow herd and being "patient". I've been patient since the 80s.......im ready for them to win a playoff round already.

Agreed...........look at the teams who are successful now. They're combinations of size, and speed. As you said there are obviously exceptions to the rule (Martin St Louis etc), but for me.........i like a Brock Nelson type (and he's only gonna get bigger).

I see that a lot on here....... not just with me. Sometimes people read a post, and either mis read, or come in half way, and what starts off as a conversation about "A", becomes a convo about "B".

I dont agree with you all of the time. In fact there are quite a few things I dont agree with you about and some that i do but that's no the point. I think your opinion is just that. Your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Seems to me you say something that someone else doesnt agree with and there is a snow ball effect. Ive seen others be more the "aggressive" type than you in all honestly. The very thing that people are saying youre doing is EXACTLY what they are doing. Funny.

I hear ya, but the problem is there appears to be little groups on here. If I happen to be debating with one person, the next thing i know, I have 4 people joining in like I kicked their dog because I said Hickey gets outmuscled. Thats fine, but its hard to respond while at work to everyone.

Bottom line, I love the isles and love hockey in general......I feel i have above average knowledge. That said, im no GM, but I can tell you this.......im tired of being a 5th overall pick team. I think the isles have turned the corner........but im still hoping snow addresses the backend before the start of the season.

czuczman is what, 23-24? obviously going to be stronger than an 18 y/o kid, especially since the kid isn't particularly big to begin with. I'm not even thinking about it...first prospect camp means absolutely nothing.
